H- "the last few months of our senior year begins!"

Heidi said as she climbed in the backseat of Jesse's car.

J- "make it worth it. Go to parties!"

He said staring at me.

Y/n- "don't look at me like that"

I heard Heidi laugh from behind us. Jesse began driving us to school, since he had to go to work as well.

J- "I hope you know. You're having a big one for your birthday too"
Y/n- "whatever Jesse"
H- "hey y/n, are you gonna talk to Chris today? I told you his brother made him go to that party. I'm sure nothing happened"
Y/n- "I haven't decided yet"
J- "the most indecisive person award goes to y/n"

I rolled my eyes at him. We'd finally arrived at school and said goodbye to Jesse. As usual, Tyler was standing out the front waiting for Heidi. But I didn't see Chris.

Y/n- "hey Tyler, where's Chris?"
Ty- "probably on the field. We have a morning practice. I just came to say goodmorning to my girl"

He said whilst wrapping his arms around Heidi.

Y/n- "oh okay"

Usually Chris would be standing here waiting for me as well. I never thought I'd say this, but it made me feel saddened to not see him there. The bell rang and Tyler ran off. Heidi linked her elbow with mine as we walked through the doorway of our school. We got to maths and Chris didn't show up. Second period we had an assembly. And once again, I couldn't find Chris. I decided I was gonna wait for him at his locker during lunch. Heidi came with me. We stood there waiting for a while.

Y/n- "I just want to talk to him"
H- "let me text Tyler"

She pulled out her phone and began messaging. Soon getting a response.

H- "Tyler said to meet with Chris in the science labs. Do you want me to come with you?"
Y/n- "no, it's okay. I should probably do this by myself"

She smiled and nodded. I walked off and found Chris alone in the 3rd room.

Y/n- "Chris?"
C- "y/n? Thank you for coming. I just wanna know, what did I do?"
Y/n- "I'm sorry. I just assumed the worst again"
C- "you need to know. I like you. I'd never do anything to ruin this. You called me once over summer and never answered when I tried to call you back"
Y/n- "I know. A girl answered and I could tell you were at a party...."

Chris stood up and came closer to me. Only a desk stood between us now.

C- "I didn't know that. Bryan made me go, I promise nothing happened"

I looked down at the ground.

C- "you wanna know why everyone sees me the way they do?"

I looked up at him with furrowed eyebrows.

Y/n- "yes?"
C- "I had my heart broken a while ago. By Stephanie. She went around making a rumour that I only used her for one thing and that I'd done it before. Everyone joined in. Making my reputation worse. Something I couldn't run from. Then I had a big glow up as everyone calls it and that didn't help my reputation. Everyone just started making their own rumors. I never slept with anyone but Stephanie. I wish I hadn't. If only I'd fallen for you sooner.."
Y/n- "I'm so sorry Chris"

I said, looking at the tears welling up in his eyes. Walking around the table to pull him into a hug. He buried his face in the crook of my neck.

C- "since you came into my life. I look forward to coming to school. To seeing your face. It hurts when you don't run past my house"

Chris stood back up straight and looked into my eyes.

C- "I really really like you y/n"

He said as we got lost in each other's eyes. I slowly began leaning in. Eventually our lips connected together. Chris lifted me up, sitting me on the desk behind us. He stood in between my legs with his arms wrapped around my torso. I wrapped my arms around his neck as we slowly made out. We were pulled from our moment when the bell rang. Chris stepped back and I jumped off the table. Picking up my book I had with me. I got to the door and opened it slightly.

C- "does this mean..?"

I paused for a moment. Turning my head to face him.

Y/n- "this means we make out in private for now"

I smiled before leaving the room.
