"Wala ka talagang kakupas-kupas!" Teffy exclaimed as she hugged her best friend. Kamuntik pa siyang matusok ng trophy na itsurang G-clef, kulay silver at may katamtamang laki.
"Ako lang 'to! 'Wag OA!" Candary retorted. Kumalas siya mula sa pagkakayakap sa kaibigan.
We're still here, standing in our position earlier. Vil annunciated the winner among 12 delegates in the acoustic singing contest. No other than the girl who delivered melody in a parallel universe—Candary. She shine and overshadowed the other contestants so I can say that she deserves the award.
"Congrats." I mumbled with a slight smile while playing the straw of my empty cup of smoothie.
"Thanks Vaughn!" Ibinaba niya ang bag ng gitara at pilit isiniksik ang trophy sa bulsa nito.
"Congrats best friend niya! Manlilibre ka?" Rai bantered as if they were close.
"Ay ang FC!" Pambabara naman ni Teffy.
"Pwede rin naman. Sa'n ni'yo ba gusto?" She put down the garments casing of her guitar so she can stand well. "Libre ko na dinner basta tapusin muna natin performance ng Autotelic." She offered with a smile.
"Wow hulog ni Jesus!" Teffy clapped her hands.
"Friends na tayo Miss Carinderya huh?" Rai jokingly offered a hand shake. Pinatulan naman ito ni Candary.
The night seems long. As well as I'm with Rai, I won't look like an introverted freak.
The loud noise from the crowd and stereo started blaring as the band named Autotelic roar their lyrics and rock the stage.
Hating-gabi maliwanag pa rin
Ang langit inaalalayan ang buwan
Pinagmamasdan ang pag-alis
Dahan-dahang bumabalot ang mga ulap
The lights were set to dim by the operator. The crowd began turning on their mobile flashlights, waving their hands forming a sea of light from the bird's-eye view. Except me of course, I'm not familiar with the song but, I admit it's a poetic one.
Tuwing nasisilayan ay naaalala ko
Ang gabing puno ng pag-asa at iniwanang pangako
"Takipsilim aaminin mga lihim
Lumilinaw lumalabo nasisilawww!" Candary sang at the top of her lungs. Iba pala ang accent niya kapag Tagalog song.
The band continuous playing an indie-rock vibes of OPM. Teffy girl and Candary temporarily gone to get some drinks from their booth. Mula sa kaninang pwesto, ay lumipat kami sa bandang likuran kung saan hindi masyadong crowded pero tanaw pa rin naman ang mga nagpe-perform. Mukhang ni isa sa amin ay hindi nangangawit mula sa pagkakatayo. Rai also sings along with the male and female vocalists though he sounds out of tune. He also opened his front cam to take a picture of us, but I immediately covered my face with my two hands.
