No-ones POV

"WHAT!" Could be heard 3 floors above and below the the 56th floor, conference room H, of Avengers Tower where Steve and Tony are being briefed for an assignment by Nick Fury.

Tony uncovered his ears and glared at Steve, who had screamed. Steve looked down at his feet sheepishly. "Sorry guys," he mumbled.

Fury waved a hand around. "It's fine Rogers. I'll continue," he says to Steve. "You both will be acting as a couple to infiltrate a fancy party run by Hydras biggest representatives, Micheal and Damion Kanen. You will act like a married couple and try to bond with the 2, gaining their trust enough to be invited to their actual house," he continued, pointing between Steve and Tony.

Tony opened his mouth to complain but was shut down with a look from Fury, which prompted Steve to try and respond only to get given the same look. Fury pulled 2 small velvet boxes out of each pocket and put them on the table before sliding the mission file towards them and leaving the room.

Tony walked around the table to the left while Steve went to the right and both ended up facing each other half way down the table. Steve reaches for the ring box closest to him and opens it. It's a silver band with a red diamond in the band and blue smaller diamonds on either side.

Tony reaches for the other box and finds the same but inverted ring in his box, a blue diamond in the silver band with red diamonds on either side. "Cute, they themed them after our suits," Tony mumbles under his breath. They both walk back to the end of the table and Tony playfully kneels on the floor and opens the ring box again. "Steven Grant Rogers, will you marry me?" He teases lightly. Steve blushes ever so slightly and rolls his eyes at the mechanics antics.

"Tony you idiot, get off the ground," Tony laughs stands up, pulling the ring out of the box and grabbing Steve's left hand, slipping the ring on his finger. Steve opens his ring box again and grabs Tony's left hand, also putting the ring on the appropriate finger before dropping the hand and instead picking up the file.

Steve quickly reads the file before handing it to Tony, who, not really caring, closes the file and puts it back on the table. "Tony you have to read that," Steve insists, sliding the file closer. Tony pouts at Steve and shakes his head.

"No Steve it's fine, you can tell me what it says 'cause if I read it, it'll go straight out of my brain," Tony sassed back. Steve rolls his eyes.

"The file said we needs to act as coupley as possible and it also has the tickets to the party, our new home address, our profiles and the description of the targets," Steve explains quickly while Tony watches him talk.

"As coupley as possible huh? Does that mean I get to kiss you?" He smirks at the now blushing Steve.

"Probably. But I would like to set some ground rules around that. It can only go as far as a kissing. We can wrap arms around each other which will probably help sell it and call each other nicknames. I'll probably call you babe, baby and doll so you need to listen out and respond. What about you?"

"I agree with everything you just said. The nicknames I'll call you will be babe, honey and Stevie" Tony replies to Steve's question immediately. No. No he didn't already have nicknames picked out... shut up.
