This woman has guts, I'll give her that.
She wants what now?
And how she expects me to do that without questioning?
How can she even grasp the entire ordeal in 10 minutes?
Hell no. This is going to work by my terms, not hers.
I smirk, speaking confident and proud.
"What makes you think we will accept your cooperation on the spot, Mistarin?"
"Expected. I will give you any proof you need, Eraserhead. Idekus, or Midoriya as you call him, after all has shown me how you teach and your way of reasoning. I appreciate humans like you". She replies, gaze on me undeterred, crossing her arms.
If Midoriya trusted her with such informations, then I will proceed as we usually do for job interviews. It is the most logical thing to do at this point. Meaning...
Huh. This could be... interesting.
"If you want to prove yourself, lets see how that age of yours and the training you should have pays off against me".
"With pleasure". She smiles and leaves her staff on the ground to the side of the clearing.
The students instantly make room for us, since this clearing in the forest is quite big enough and I go in a fighting stance immediately.
To activate my quirk would be illogical and a waste of energy, since she is unaffected. Guess this has to go the old way, then.
"Midoriya".
"Hai, Sensei?".
"You will tell us when to start".
"Hai, Sensei!". Was a little laugh that I heard in his tone just now? That kid...
Did he predict this whole outcome? I wouldn't be surprised, he's a smart one. I smirk.
"Ok, then. Both ready? Good. Start!".
I charge, capture gear at the ready, and she leans forward, starting to run towards me, an unreadable expression on her face.
Then, when I thought I was about to get her, she jumps, surprisingly agile for a person that tall, and with a swift movement, I can barely see her as she flips, head upside down, over me, landing behind me inhumanly fast.
I turn around as rapidly as possible, almost avoiding one hit directed at my shoulder. Almost. Ouch.
I back up a little, trying to land a punch myself, but she blocks it with her hand, as I hoped, and my other hand starts wrapping the capture gear around her shoulders.
She whispers something inaudible under her breath when she notices that though, and the capture gear goes down flat, as if I were not able to maneuver it anymore.
DAMN.
I attack again and again, landing even a couple of punches in the flank and a kick, but she seems almost unaffected.
Her expression stays unreadable, which is not making things easier for me.
She manages to land more blows on me. Ouch, again.
She is strong, but she clearly is fighting as anyone would do in a mock battle.
Is she not taking this serious enough?
I feel anger. I shouldn't be feeling it, I know. It makes my focus on the fight worse.
"Why are you holding back?", I shout, panting slightly. Man, this is taking a toll on me, she's very fast.
