Awakening

As Katsuki awakes, he can finally feel a new peace in his mind, and Izuku's hand holding back his own, as he meets two emerald green eyes, shining bright in the morning's clear light.

"You are back!" He shouts, jumping to hug him, tears of joy in both of their eyes as they laugh together.

"Only thanks to you. You brought me back, as I knew you would.", whispers Izuku softly, returning the hug.

"Damn nerd! I can't leave you alone for a second and look at what you did!" Katsuki's tone sounds so relieved that Izuku can't help but cry in joy, soaking Katsuki's shoulder in the tight embrace.

"Midoriya! You are back! Man, you scared us!"

Kirishima shouts, smiling big as he cries. He feels so proud of his friends!

"Good thing that Bakugou is as stubborn as hell!" Todoroki is uncertain whether to cry or laugh.

Uraraka says nothing, she simply stares at Deku with glossy eyes, big tears running down her cheeks.

Izuku looks at Katsuki, and the latter understands perfectly.

"Ah, come here, Round face! Give him a hug!"

She launches herself, crying even more when Izuku gently embraces her.

Iida is watching them affectionately.

Maybe, now that the war is over, he will be able to tell her his feelings.

'I will never be able to be like him, but for her... I will be the hero she needs'.

As if on cue, Izuku looks over at his reliable friend and smiles.

"Iida, please, can you take care of her? She is crushing me a bit..." He says softly, a little embarrassed in fear of being too blunt about his friend's feelings.

Iida blushes at the perceptiveness of his friend, but he is grateful as he states "Of course Midoriya! You should rest! Uraraka-san, please do not overexert him."

She nods, and he goes to help her gently up from the bed.

Katsuki chuckles mischievously at the scene.

"Round face, you should be happy to have such an upright chivalrous friend as Four eyes..."

The blush on both of their friends' faces intensifies, so they decide to drop the subject.

Kaminari and Kirishima are snickering at the scene, so Katsuki decides it's payback time.

He smirks broadly.

"You two... aren't you forgetting something? Or should I say someone? Where have you left Pinky and Earplugs?"

The flustered looks of the two are pretty much explaining their embarrassament, but since the two don't know better, they even start to stutter.

"No-Don't know-What-Bro!"

"Bakubro! Not fair!"

That ends up in openly and heartily laughing at the two from everyone else in the room.

They join in too at some point.

"Well, it's nice to see you all relaxed again, finally." The voice of Aizawa sounds, for once, not annoyed, even if he's as always able to stand with his tone over everyone else, without shouting or raising his voice.

"Sensei!" The clear smile in Midoriya's voice brings once again their full attention to the boy, and Aizawa looks at him with a rare smile.

"It's good to have you back, problem child."
