Sanai was high above the clouds; the sun shinning on her back as she soared across the sky.
Sanai was fond of flying; over the years, it had become one of her favorite past times.
When she first received her powers, she had little to know control over her flight. But as time went on, she gained a better understanding of the abilities she been endowed with.
Even though she had become used to flying, the sight of hovering over the world was something that took her breath away each time she was in view of it.
The vision around her was breathtaking.
The clouds morphed into new forms with every gust of wind. The colors of the sky itself bounced off of the clouds and created beautiful imagery.
Occasionally, Sanai would position herself upwards while hovering and would pretend to be walking on top of the clouds.
A few yards feet away from her, Emerald and Lance were riding on top of Drakon.
The dragon had gone through a tremendous growth spurt over the summer, and his long body now stretched to eighty-feet.
His massive body didn't make it any easier for Lance to stay situated on his back.
Every so often Drakon would do a barrel roll, and Lance would grasp onto Emerald so not to fall off.

"Take it easy man!", Lance yelled over the wind. "This fall may not kill me, but it could still hurt!".

Drakon heeded Lance's caution and restrained himself from doing anymore dangerous stunts.
Sanai thought that the sight was quite hilarious. Seeing her friends enjoy themselves, and doing something that normal people could dream to do was extraordinary to her. She thought that if anyone deserves to partake in this experience, it was them.
Greg wasn't with them at the time; he had gone to a book store to pick up a new manga novel he had been waiting to read.
It had become a monthly routine for him to go to the book store.
Apparently he had missed out on a lot of reading while they were moving place to place. So when they finally moved into their home, he bought about forty novels.
The most impressive part was that he read them all in one week. Ever since then, he's made it a habit to go to the bookstore to find more books to read.
Sanai wished that Greg could be there with them, but she knew he needed his alone time every now and then.
Sanai was slightly insecure about how much time she spent with everyone.
She wanted to be around Greg as much as possible; she loved being around him. But she also didn't want to seem clingy and feel too attached to him.
She had too many experiences where people suddenly left her without a moment's notice. She didn't want that to be the case with Greg.
She took her mind off of things, and just continued to fly around.
She flew closer to Drakon and soared right next to him.
His black scales radiated with heat and warmed Sanai's entire body.
Despite her fears, she felt lucky to be amongst friends.
