so here's me making a playlist of my favorite French songs for her because I can and why not.
(QUICK DISCLAIMER: I included a lot of French songs made by Maghreb artists because I felt like it, and that's why you might find some Arabic words you won't understand amidst the song, if you want the translation, come find me hehehe)
1. Indila - SOS
This song, OH MY GOD 😢💝😢💝😢💝😢💝😢💝! Just from the title and the melody, you can guess it's a sad song... THE WORDS, OH GOD, just thinking about them makes me shiver of how deep they are! I believe there are English translations of this song so search it up. Indila's songs are all masterpieces. I listened to her when she was still the biggest hit, and she's a musical artist so obviously she has the voice of an angel.
2. Soolking ft Dadju - Meleğim
I HAD TO INCLUDE THIS SONG! It came out six months ago yet I'm still bopping to it everyday. I FREAKING LOVE IT. "Meleğim" means my angel in Turkish, and I think it's the only foreign word in the song, along with "Hasanates" that means good deeds in Arabic. Soolking never disappoints, and he featured Dadju, who is an artist that I like. Again, I recommend all of Soolking's songs. Also, like the words are so romantic TFFFF?
3. Maître Gims - Bella:
Bro, this song, I don't think there is someone in my country that doesn't know it. I remember screaming on the top of my lungs to it back in elementary school, it just hits different. I haven't heard it for many years, until the other day I was going to the hospital very early in the morning, and they played it in the radio, and I was like: "Well, man, Fuck nostalgia." I REMEMBER ALL THE WORDS.
4. Lartiste - Chocolat feat. Awa Imani
Another song from my childhood. Lartiste never disappoints, one of my favorite Moroccan rappers. Don't be surprised if you find another song of him in this list. I don't remember if there are any Arabic words, all I remember is that Awa's voice is I M M A C U L A T E.
