I'm lowkey hungry and just spent 2 hours I think writing a chapter that I had started several weeks ago and I still didn't finish it
I had a mental breakdown trying to remember the word "tissue" and now I need a break my mind worked since pretty early the morning
But yeah, I came back with a pretty interesting tag this time

Write three things about your writing style:
Oh god.
1. Descriptive: I rely on description quite a lot to allow readers to imagine the setting. While I tend to use adjectives quite more, I would say I'm average on usage of metaphors and oxymoron mostly, I am fine with every other figures of figures of speech but quite weak in the simile department. I am not fond of it as a figure of speech and find it less powerful than others. In fact, I think there are appropriate moments for its usage to have the impact aimed at.
Also, quick disclaimer that I base my knowledge on figures of speech on what I learned from French. I have yet to take the lesson in English, but I also thing European languages are quite similar in this? I don't know, it's what I read but I am not sure of the certitude of this information.
2. I mostly enjoy writing fluff because of the vocabulary I can explore within this category. I don't enjoy angst much because I don't know how well I write it. I REALLY like to write slice of life pieces but I don't do it that much, I just incorporate it in my writings. I would LOVE to learn how to write smut but I barely tried and I don't know much about it still.
3. I started writing in English in January 2020 (we don't talk about the letter I wrote back in 2015, cuz that's a no). It was very bad. I... It was fucking awful, oh god.

I just want to find it myself to delete these but I JUST CAN'T I WROTE THEM I CAN'T JUST... DELETE THEM. THAT'S... LIKE... KILLING MY OWN BOOKS.
I actually stopped writing around that time again and went back to writing in June 2020.
Yeah, all of this to say that my writing style improved... a lot.
3 things you'd like to improve about your writing style/s:
Just like Kiwi, I will write more than three because I feel like it.
1. The style itself: no matter how I see it, I think I can't bring myself to write stories that can draw people in. Maybe it's boring, maybe it's bland, I still have to figure it out.
2. Use of punctuation: Did you ever read any of my books with a semi-colon? I probably used them 10 times in 30 chapters. I just don't know when and how to use them. If someone wants to teach me, please do. But aside, I think I'm pretty good at the usage of em-dashs and en-dashs and the other one I don't even know what it's called.
3. Vocabulary: Self-explanatory. Oh to expand my vocabulary. Also me: haven't touched a real book in years.
4. Adjective usage: so there's a rule when writing adjectives that I still need to grasp and fully respect.

But unlike other critics in this list, I'm taking this quite easily and not ushering myself to learn about it because even when I don't respect this order, people won't close my book and be like: "I'm out." So, cool.
5. Lenghty paragraphs: I need to work on this SERIOUSLY. Some things don't have to be mentioned, others don't have to be described. Sometimes, my paragraphs look messy and it deeply upsets me.
6. I have yet to write something that wows me and makes me go like: "wow, I did write that." I just want to write something that I won't go back to and blame certain aspects for it.
