Five days have gone by since Louis and I found out about the other shield, five days have gone by where Harry disappears every morning without an explanation, five night has gone by without him holding me in his arms as we fall asleep, and five days have gone by where Harry hasn't said a word to me. I have tried talking to him so I could apologize for the way I tried to bring up his past, but he just ignored me. Louis and I told Alexandra about the shield in hope that she might have known something that can help, but unfortunately, she didn't. I have been by the shield every day since we found out. There is a strange sound coming from the other side, almost as if something is rushing by. I close my eyes and imagine what it might be like there. What kind of food is there? what do the houses look like? And how are the people?

Nevertheless, I have decided to follow Harry to see where he goes every morning. So I woke up early just to make sure he wouldn't be gone already when he finally woke up and got out of bed I was right behind him all the way, but he doesn't know that. So here I am following Harry in the woods. He is walking in the direction of the town, but not where I usually sat, he is heading in the direction of a big house. So big that no one will be able to see Harry standing behind it. He can obviously not go all the way up to the house because of the shield, so instead, he stops right where the shield starts with ease, as if he has done it a thousand times before, which is true if it is here he goes every morning.

He takes a look around as if he is searching for someone, but there is no one in sight. After almost a half hour I start to think that I should probably head back seeing as nothing is happening, but then coming out of the house is a boy and a girl. The guy has blond hear, but it is clearly dyed since you can see the brown roots at the start of his short hair. His eyes are bright blue something that is not that common with people that has brown hair. He isn't nearly as tall as Harry, but he is not short either. Beside him is a girl, she is clearly shorter than him, but not by much. Her eyes are a shade of dark brown, matching her hair. Her piercing is the next thing I notice. She has one in her lip, and one in her nose. It isn't a shock to me that I haven't seen them before since when I lived in the village I was mostly inside or in the forest drawing or reading. I didn't necessarily pay attention to the people around me, but now I regret that.

I see them talk about something as their lips move, but I can't make out the words. I try to move closer in hopes of hearing them better. I take a step forward and manage to step on a stick causing it to make a loud crack. All three of their heads snap in my direction as soon as they hear the sound. "Mina?" Harry asks a little shocked over seeing me here, and in seconds he is in front of me. The boy and the girl have followed Harry to me by moving closer to their side of the border. It gets quiet as Harry keeps his hands in his pocket, and his head facing the ground.

The girl suddenly speaks up trying to get rid of the awkwardness "You must be, Mina. It is a pleasure to meet you," She says giving me a warm smile. "My name is Athalia." She adds remembering she forgot to introduce herself.

I nod and look over to the guy with the blond hair. "And you are?" They both obviously know my name so there is no need to repeat it.

"I'm Niall. I would shake your hand, but you know." He points at the shield and I get his point. I give him a reassuring smile, showing that I completely understand that he doesn't want to get stuck here.

"It's fine, I understand."

Harry suddenly grabs my arm with more force then I feel necessary and drags me away from Athalia and Niall. "What about the supplies?" Niall asks confused as to why Harry is walking away without whatever they usually give him.

"I'll come back and get them tomorrow," Harry says back not seeming to care about whatever he was going to get anymore.

Athalia and Niall both nod understandingly. They wave goodbye to me with a smile on their face, and I do the same in return, waving back with the arm Harry isn't brutally holding on to. As soon as they are out of sight Harry stops, and turn around to face me. "Why did you follow me?"

There is no point in lying to him, to come up with an explanation like 'I wasn't. I was just taking a walk, and then happened to see you there', but I don't. I was curious and worried that's it. "Since you disappeared every morning I started to wonder where you went."

He looks angry at my response but keeps his voice calm. "That's it? You were just a bit curious so you decided to follow me somewhere that is clearly personal to me, and thinking that is okay because you were just a bit curious?" I look away ashamed at how it sounds now that he actually says it out loud. "Don't you think that I would have eventually actually wanted to tell you, as I start to trust you more? But you just have to be so impatient, and you clearly have a hard time minding your own business."

"It wasn't just because I was curious, I was also worried about you! I don't know what is out here, what kind of bad things that you can get mixed up in, so I wanted to make sure you were safe." His eyes turn wide by my confession, and I don't know if it's good or bad. I didn't mean to say it out loud it just kind of happened.

His face softens as if he is not used to someone worrying about him. "No!" He screams so deeply, yet so loud that it scares me. I can see the way his jaw tense as clench his teeth, and how his fists tighten so much his knuckles turn white. Frustration is clear in his eyes as he spins around and storms towards the house, not even giving me a chance to ask what he meant.

When I get back to the house Louis is the first person see. "Where have you been all morning?" He asks from his seat on the couch.

I sit down beside him making sure to keep eye contact as I'm just about to ask a favor. "I will tell you, but you have to do me a favor." He hesitates at first but agrees nevertheless. "Okay, so as you know Harry always disappears in the mornings so I decided to follow him. He walked to the shield and met up with a guy named Niall, and a girl named Athalia. They talked for a while but I couldn't hear them so I tried to move closer, but managed to break a stick so they saw me. They introduced themselves but as soon as they were done Harry just dragged me away, but before we could get far Niall said 'What about the supplies?', and then Harry said 'I'll come back and get them tomorrow.' Then he got mad and we had a fight."

A look washes over him as if something just added up "So that's why he basically ran into the gym."

"Gym?"

"Yeah, the training room across from the library. He looked really angry, so he probably just went in there to let off some steam."

I shrug my shoulders not knowing if it's because of me, or if he just wanted to train. "Whatever, back to the favor," I say changing the subject. He sighs signaling for me to move on but letting me know that he clearly doesn't like it. "I want you to distract Harry tomorrow morning so I can talk to Athalia and Niall alone, and maybe find out something more."

"You are asking me to distract an angry, bloodthirsty vampire so you can find out some information he would probably tell you if you just had waited until he felt ready to?" He raises his eyebrows as if he is waiting for me to realize something. I know Harry probably would have told me eventually, but it's too late for that now.

"Yes, exactly."

He shakes his head in defeat as he lets out a groan. "Fine."
