"I gotta give the sheriff a report, I'll be back as soon as I can." The cop left, leaving Morgan, Reid, and Myself alone at the L.O.D. hangout. "You guys need anything?"

'Coffee would be nice."Spencer told him.

'He takes about a quart of sugar in it." I walked around the house. I knew Morgan would want to talk to him alone.

~~~Spencer~~~
'Morgan! You knew I didn't want you to tell Hotch about my nightmares."
"Reid, that's something they need to know about." He told me.
"Wait, what do you mean 'they'?"
'Hotch, Gideon, and Marianne."
'You told Gideon and Marianne too?" I asked, irritated.
"Yeah, and it's ok kid."
"What if they think I can't do my job? What if they pull me off the team? And who knows what Marianne will do!"
"They won't."
"Oh yeah? How do you know that?" I asked.
"I just do."
'You had no right, man! I confided in you. You know, this is exactly what I get when I trust someone, it gets thrown back in my face." I shouted at him.
'Mine started six months after I joined the BAU." I opened my mouth. "Yeah, Mine. We were working a strangler case in Montana. Four victims. Me, I was still pretty young at the time, so you know, I was feeling myself. I was cocky, I was arrogant. The locals, they didn't have anything so I stepped up. I said, 'I can nail down a profile for you just as soon as I get what I need'."
"More victims." I said.
'Mhm. She was found the next day. So I went down to the scene to do my thing. And as I was looking over the body, That's when I saw them. Her eyes, Reid. They were wide open. And there was something different about them, It was like they were looking right at me. Like she knew. I asked for a victim. Well, here she was. That's when they started for me. Night after night I would fall asleep and I would see those eyes. Those dead accusing eyes. And it got to the point where it was happening even when i wasn't asleep. Reid,everywhere I went I saw those eyes."
'What did you do?"
'Gideon. He knew. I didn't tell him. I was like you, i didn't want anybody to know. He just...he knew. He sat me down, and he just kind of talked me through it. I still have them to this day, Just not nearly as often. And when they do, I know how to handle them better. And why did I tell Marianne? You care about her Reid. It may be confusing, and new, but you care about her, and she cares about you. Her nightmares will come too, and you'll want to be there for her. Let her be there for you."
~~~Marianne~~~
I heard the screech of tires. I ran around the front of the house and saw the Sheriff's kid walking up to us.

"Did you find her? Cherish?"

'No. Not yet." I told him.

"Did Zizzo say anything?"

"We don't know, we've been here the whole time."

"Cory, calm down." Spencer said.

"How am I supposed to calm down? Cherish is missing. Did you check all over?"

"We searched the whole house."

"What about the outbuilding?"

"Outbuidling?"

"Did you check the other area? Back in the woods?"

"I didn't know there was another area." Morgan said.

"Yeah, it's like a sluice structure or something. He took me there once. It's this way." We followed him.

~~~
"It's up here. This was their secret place." The door had the same sign that was on the tree.
"Guys?" We nodded. Same one. Morgan went inside.
"I can't believe this is happening. This kind of thing doesn't happen in McAllister."
"You said you read the profiling books. You know bad things happen anywhere. Anywhere at any time." Morgan came back out.
"She in there? Is she alright?"
"Cory." Spencer said quietly.
"She's in there."
"Was she dead?" Cory asked.
"Reid, Harper, I want you to go to the house and see if the deputies have come back."
'What?"
'We need the sheriff and the crime scene guys here."
"But-"
"Come on, Spencer." I said, grabbing his arm and pulling him the other direction. "So...did Morgan talk to you?"
"Yeah, he did."
"We just want to help you." I told him. He nodded.
"I know." I grabbed his hand and we kept walking. Suddenly, Reid picked my hand up and looked at my wrist. He shined his flashlight on it. "What happened?"
"Nothing. I got lost, found the LOD house. Zizzo grabbed me before you guys came in." I sighed as we reached the house. "No one is here." We walked back and saw Morgan and Cory talking. We approached them.
"Morgan, no one is up there." Suddenly, Cory grabbed me and pressed a gun to my head.
"Cory!" Morgan warned.
"This got all messed up."
"Don't be stupid."
"She wasn't supposed to be with him. IT was his run! He runs it everyday, not her!"
"Cory, listen. We can fix this, but you have to let Harper go."
'I never meant to hurt her, but make no mistake. I will shoot this girl right now."
"No you won't." He cocked the gun.
"Tempt not a desperate man."
"Put the gun down!"
"Ok, alright. you win." Somehow, I knew what to do. I elbowed him in the stomach, Stomped on his foot and punched him in the face, taking the gun and pointing it at him."
"Tempt not a woman trained in self defense." Morgan picked him up and headed back to the house as we heard the sirens.
~~~

We got back on the plane. I watched as Gideon talked to Spencer. He handed him a picture and went back to sleep. I smiled as Spencer looked at the picture, and then slowly closed his eyes. I bet that'll help, at least a little. I had heard some of what Morgan told him at the house. I would get the nightmares. My time was coming, but not yet. Right now, I'm gonna be here for Spencer.
