Lisa arrived at his apartment that day, only happy not to see another girl walking out. She fixed her dress nervously and rang the doorbell. The door opened and she was greeted by his bright bunny smile and a warm hug.

"You look gorgeous, doll," he complimented her, and she rolled her eyes at him.

"I always do."

He grinned and dragged her to the dining room, covering her eyes.

"Okay, you can see now."

She opened her eyes and gasped. There was an array of all her favorite Thai food spread on the table, homemade. Her eyes sparkled.

"How-"

"I had to ask for some help from Bam, but mostly I did it myself," he stated proudly. She laughed and engulfed him in a hug.

"Thank you, Kookie." She shyly reached up and gave him a short kiss on the cheek. He froze for a moment but then smiled at her, wrapping an arm around her waist.

"Let's eat."

She sat down happily, trying to choose out of all the dishes. He did the job for her, filling her plate with a little bit of everything. She dug in, not caring about looking proper or eating only a little. His heart warmed at her childish grin when she ate something she liked.

"What did you like the most?" he asked her after she tried all the food.

"Hmm...the green papaya salad."

"Is that so?"

He reached for the dish and began feeding her. She gladly accepted and munched on the food, her heart beating like crazy.

After they finished eating, they sat down in the living room as he started a movie.

"Kookie," she started, hesitant. "Why are you so kind to me?"

He sat down next to her as the movie began playing.

"Why not?"

"You don't do this to anyone else," she insisted.

"Do what?"

She gave him a look.

"Say...Yeri. You're close with her, but you don't hug or kiss or cuddle her, or shower her with little gifts and notes and flowers, or bring her to your house randomly and cook amazing food for her, or feed her papaya salad, or-"

"Well, first of all, if I did that with her, Namjoon hyung would kill me. But most importantly..." He turned and looked at her in the eyes. "Yeri isn't you. I only think of her as a younger sister."

Lisa's heart stopped.

"So...what do you think of me of? A cousin?" She gulped and he chuckled.

"No, doll." He took a deep breath. "Lisa...I like you. A lot, actually. And not as a sister or cousin or any sort of relative."

Lisa's breath hitched as he leaned closer to her, whispering in her ear.

"I love you."

With that, he placed his hand on the back of her head and pulled her in for a kiss, which she completely melted into. His lips were impossibly soft and tasted sweet as sugar. He broke the kiss and began sucking down her neck, placing gentle kisses on her most sensitive spots. She bit her lip to resist moaning.

Then, out of the corner of her eye, she spotted it. A woman's earring lay on the floor, under the couch. It didn't take much to figure out how that had happened. She pushed him away suddenly, remembering his ways with women. She avoided his sad gaze and stood up. She knew she should run away, disappear and forget him. But could she ever do that?

She loved Jeon Jeongguk. She knew that. But she also knew that as much as she wanted him, he would end up breaking her heart.

"Sorry," she whispered, and with that, she ran out of the apartment, hot tears pricking her eyes.

Was it bad that she wanted to stay?
