~three months later~

Lalisa took a deep breath as she held her Chaeyoung's hand, both of them observing the tall building in front of them.

IU. They would be collaborating with IU.

Chaeyoung laughed nervously next to her and Lisa gave her hand a comforting squeeze before turning and smiling at her.

"Where's my confident chipmunk? Let's go, Chaeng."

They stepped in and a receptionist indicated which floor they would go to. Chaeyoung was already fangirling in the elevator, muttering something about stepping in the same place as IU.

"Didn't you already sing with her?"

"Yeah, but that was her coming to us, now we're going to her."

Lisa shook her head fondly. The doors were open and they were greeted by Ji-eun herself. She looked excited as she led them into her studio with a smile.

"Thank  you so much for doing this with me," she said giddily. "I have so much in store for this new album, and I already know this track will be the main attraction."

"We're just as excited unnie," Lisa responded.

She's your unnie already? Chaeyoung mouthed in disbelief while IU unlocked the door. Lisa smirked.

She totally likes me more, she mouthed back. Chaeyoung's lips formed a small pout.

"So I was thinking Rosie could start the song-"

"M-Me?!" Chaeyoung's eyes gleamed with happiness and Jieun laughed at her cuteness.

"Yes, you. A small intro. I really love your voice, it has a slightly breathy tone to it that will make a great opening if you do a whisper. Then I thought there could be a fun pause or sound effect, then the regular beat comes in again and one of us can start off."

"Like in Unlucky!" Rosie clapped her hands. Lisa nodded in understanding and Ji-eun snapped her fingers.

"Exactly. I already made a fun beat, can you listen?"

She played it and they all listened intently.

"I'm feeling this," a slow grin crept onto Lisa's face. Chaeyoung nodded enthusiastically, it all seemed more real. IU beamed and stopped it halfway.

"And there, Lisa's rap can come in between."

"Do you have anything in mind for the lyrics?" Lisa butted in.

"That's where I wasn't too sure," IU scratched her head cutely. "When I write a song, I usually do it randomly, just listing a bunch of words that describe my feelings when I'm writing it and later going off of that. I've never been too good for collaborations, but I really want this trio. I was hoping you two could help me?"

"Yeah, let's try to come up with the structure and theme today!"

"Cool. Lisa, any ideas?"

"I was actually thinking of a fresh-sounding song, like you said, but with a deeper meaning in the words that leaves you thinking of the story. Not a storyline per se, but something an emotional concept that leads somewhere."

"Yeah!" Rosie was getting excited. "Deeper lyrics with a little tug at the end."

"Yeah, like NASA! Weird and fun but with a solid theme backing it."

They realized IU was staring at them and blushed.

"That was bad, I'm really sorry. Teddy oppa usually does most of the lyric writing," Chaeyoung buried her face in her crossed arms out of embarrassment and Lisa looked at her feet awkwardly.

"No! That was perfect! You two need to stop being so shy, you're amazing artists."

"Unnie, stop complimenting us, our faces are so red already and I'm pretty sure Chae is gonna have a heart attack any second now," Lisa whined. The woman giggled.

"I'm only telling the truth. So for the lyrics...we need something to base this off of," Jieun leaned forward with a small smirk and looked at both of them in the eye. "Are either of you in any sort of romantic relationship right now?"

If Lisa's deep blush wasn't enough to give it away, Chaeyoung chirped up, "I always walk in on Lisa and Jungkook maki-"

Lisa clamped her hand over her best friend's mouth, her own falling open in shock and embarrassment. She began to stutter as the other two women laughed loudly at her reaction.

"Nice one," Jieun managed to get out in between a fit of giggles. Lisa looked away, red in the face.

Her relationship with Jungkook was going well. Very well. She felt happier than she had felt in ages. Unfortunately, they were having to spend all their time together at Blackpink's dorm since he  was searching for a new apartment and in the middle of his busy comeback schedule, it was more dangerous than ever to go out in public.

Jennie had just moved out to go live with Taehyung nearby, but an overprotective Jisoo and an awkward Chaeyoung, along with any visiting members of Bangtan made it hard for the two to get any alone time. This often ended up in either Jisoo throwing Jungkook out of their dorm with a frying pan or Chaeyoung "accidentally" interrupting them while looking for something to eat.

"Aw, you two are so cute!" Ji-eun squealed, bouncing a little in her seat. "I'm not lying when I say that when I met him all he talked about was you. Lisa this, and Lisa that, I had to remind him that we were up to perform next."

"Look at her!" Chaeyoung cackled at Lisa's red face. "They're so whipped for each other."

After the laughter and teasing subsided, Ji-eun looked at Lisa curiously.

"Of course you don't have to share if you're uncomfortable, but would you like to put any of your feelings about him into this song?"

"I..." Lisa breathed sharply. "I don't really know where to start. A lot has happened."

"How did you meet?"

"He was trying to take a drunk friend home but accidentally arrived at my apartment. It was chaotic and back then I was a huge fan, but we ended up fighting. I didn't like him one bit anymore but we kept on bumping into one another. Eventually I helped him out a problem and we became friends of a sort, even if he was still a conceited jerk."

Chaeyoung snorted and Ji-eun smiled nostalgically. It sounded like an innocent high-school relationship.

"Over time we became super close and feelings developed. Still, there was a bunch of shit that we had to go through to get where we are know. We helped each other change."

"That's so sweet," Jieun cooed. "Over the years I've tried to fix my relationships or the guys I've been with. It's never worked. You must be special, Lili."

"I guess so," Lisa blushed lightly. "Has it really never worked for you?"

"Nope. It always ended up in either a dramatic fail or him going back to his old ways. So now when the thought of fixing someone runs through my mind, I back off."

She stopped talking once she caught Lisa's worried frown.

"But I'm sure yours will work out. I can tell he really loves you, so just keep fighting for it," she reassured her with a gentle smile.

"Yeah..." Lisa nodded. "Thanks."

He has changed for good, hasn't he?
