"Kook?"

He blinked and focused. Eunha was looking at him with a tired face.

"Sorry?"

"I don't want to do this."

"Neither do I," Jungkook sighed, contemplating her. "But I can't see any way out of it."

"There's gotta be something," she persisted. "We could pressure the new CEO."

"She'd only make it worse," he muttered. He missed the old Bighit.

You know, the company that didn't cause scandals and force the artists into fake marriages in order to line their wallets.

"We're bigger than this. Let's take action."

"Any ideas?" Jungkook raised an eyebrow at the girl he considered a sister.

Eunha threw her hands up in desperation of his lack of attitude.

"Kook, look at me."

He did so reluctantly.

"Have you given up on Lisa?"

Jungkook shook his head and looked away.

"I told you not to mention that."

"Too bad, you need to face it. Didn't she say you were only taking a break?"

"She wouldn't want me back now," Jungkook muttered darkly. Eunha nudged him on the shoulder.

"Pabo, you don't know that. Listen, what if she's waiting? What if there's still a chance? Aren't you gonna take it? C'mon, what do you risk apart from more heartbreak?"

He gave her a look.

"Fine, sorry. But my point is, don't lose hope if there isn't a reason to do so yet."

"She's better off without me. It was a toxic relationship, Eunha. I made it that way and there's no going back. She's happy now."

Eunha stared at him and shook her head.

"Do you even realize that you're lying to yourself?"

He didn't respond, and she stood up.

"I'm done with this. If the company doesn't release a statement, we will. Are you in or not?"

He took her extended hand.

...

"See? It wasn't that hard," Eunha stated with a satisfied smile, contrasting the chaos evolving around them.

The second they had told the world the truth, an eruption of noise came up from all parts of the new Bighit Entertainment building. They didn't even have to glance at their phones to know that social media was already blowing up.

"Damn," Jungkook mumbled, already hearing shouting in the hallways. Eunha grinned.

"We did the right thing. This shit company is going down, but we aren't."

"I guess we'll be creating a new one, then?"

"You should name it after me, it was my idea," she said proudly. "Can't you see it? Eunha Entertainment, recruiting new artists."

Jungkook chuckled and ruffled her hair.

"Let's get out of here before the CEO burns us alive."
