Jungkook pulled over and stared at Lisa, who was looking at the phone in her hands disbelievingly.
"Is it...Taehyung?" he asked tentatively.
"Who else?" Jisoo sighed.
"They're keeping it, right?"
"Yes, they both agreed immediately on that, it's already a living child no matter what. We already talked to our bosses. BLACKPINK will be going into a one-year hiatus, and BTS will go into a 6 month one, starting once Taehyung needs to really begin taking care of Jen. Listen, Lali, where are you two?"
"I-in the car. Kookie's driving."
"I'm so sorry that you found out this way, Jennie wanted to tell you. But...please, come here quick. She's super upset that you're missing."
"Okay," Lisa answered quietly.
"Take care of her, Goo."
With that, Jisoo hung up. Lisa was trembling harder than ever, so Jungkook climbed into the backseat and pulled her into a hug, still not believing it himself.
"I never thought...Nini and Tae..." she took a deep breath. "A baby. They're going to have a kid. Together. Taehyung and Jennie. Jennie's going to be a mom."
It was hard to believe. When Lisa had arrived at YG, Jennie was there for her. They helped each other, trained together, shared everything with each other. So Lisa knew that before Taehyung, Jennie had zero experience in relationships. People thought of her as some sort of player girl but in truth she was the complete opposite. Taehyung was her first for everything. Lisa remembered the way Jennie had been freaking out about his taking her first kiss only a few months before. How had things escalated so quickly?
"She always warned me to be careful," Lisa muttered. "But now she's pregnant."
Jungkook looked at her, concerned.
"It's...it's actually kind of funny once you think about it. Jennie, pregnant. Her bad temper is about to get worse," Lisa giggled. He gave her a look of disbelief as she started full-out cackling, tears streaming down her face.
"Don't you think it's funny?" she asked, completely hysterical. He didn't answer and waited until her laughter subsided.
"Doll...you okay?"
"Yeah. Yeah, it's fine. I'm going to be an aunt!" she grinned at him and he smiled back.
"What about you?"
"I'm happy for them. Maybe they'll stop fighting so much."
"Yeah right," she giggled adorably. At that moment, Jungkook couldn't resist. He cupped her face and captured her lips with his own.
