"I'll make the pancakes!!!" I heard my mate declare from the living room.

"Nooooo." Charlotte yelled, running out of the kitchen and almost straight into Matteo who was trying to open the kitchen door. "Not you too!!!!"

"Why are you yelling?" My cousin chuckled, looking down at his little blonde niece.

"First Emmett, now you. I'm gonna die of food poisoning!" She yelled, running up to me and grabbing ahold of my leg. "Aunty Lucy, you need to come help me make food before Big Bear kills me."

"Char who taught you the word food poisoning?" I chuckled, standing up to let her lead me to the kitchen. On the others side of the door stood Emmett with Giusy's goofy apron and Matteo right next to him. They looked like they were having a VERY important conversation.

"I say put the chocolate chips in the batter." Matteo reasoned, catching my attention.

"Are you making pancakes?!" I gasped, excited. Pancakes were my favorite thing.

"Aunty Aki was arguing with Levi about him trying to give Eli food poisoning." Charlotte suddenly pipped up.

"Wait what?" I questioned, confused by the randomness of her statement.

"You asked where I learned that word. I learned it from Aunty Aki." She explained, reaching up to pull herself on to a bar stool. Her little fuzzy socks--she become so intent on wearing--made that task really difficult.

"Wow Aki is teaching you big words." Matteo chuckled, coming around the countertop to sit next to his niece.

My attention was quickly diverted to the giant man standing in front of our stove. He stood there in jeans and a t-shirt that clung to his arms.

"Why are you doing this?" I chuckled, moving to peer over his shoulder.

"Because Char said she was hungry." He said like it was obvious.

"But you aren't exactly the best cook...." I stated awkwardly, sending him a joking smirk.

"Excuse you. I am practically a chef." He declared, making a weird face at Charlotte, earning some adorable giggles. They were like partners in crime at this point.

Since the Cullen's re-arrival, as Michele so helpfully named it, a fair amount has happened. Emmett practically lives with us during the day, but sometimes goes back to his house as night while I'm sleeping so he can spend some time with his siblings. It's a pretty good system.

The most surprising thing about the Cullens was my older sisters sudden friendship with the matriarch of the family. Her and Esme instantly clicked after watching me have a meltdown in the entryway of our house.
