Are You Saying I'm Ugly?

I am sorry this one is kind of short. I was traveling this week and did not have as much time. I would love some of your thoughts on where you want this book to go. I am considering continuing to follow the Twilight series, but I also feel like it might be easier to go a different route with more of my own narrative. Thoughts?

"Nacho!" I yelled, not even caring that I was being way too loud. My brother ran to stand right next to me. We shared a look full of annoyance and worry. Our Dad and his group of pawns were not a fun activity for any day.

"We got this." My brother tried to assure me, standing up a little taller.

"Whatever you say. But if that little blonde bitch tries to come for me, I'm giving myself the permission to end her." I grumbled, rolling my eyes at no one in particular.

As I stood there deep in my thoughts, the other wolves heaved Jacob away so that they didn't need to interact with the Volturi. Everyone else stationed themselves, ready to fight. Bella stood right behind the Cullen's almost hiding. Emmett moved from him family to stand beside me, taking my hand in his own. He didn't say anything, just stood there and placed a light kiss on my head.

"Here goes nothing." Nicola grumbled as we heard the thundering approach of steps.

"Well.... It appears we missed the fight." The stupid little blonde girl cheered, a sickening smile on her lips. "Impressive. I've never seen a coven escape an assault of this magnitude intact."

"We were lucky." Carlisle murmured, not moving from his spot beside Esme.

"It appears we missed an entertaining fight." Alec laughed, locking eyes with my brother.

"It's not often that we are rendered unnecessary." Jane stated with her annoyingly monotone voice. She looked around at everyone, her eyes locking on me and my hand in Emmett's.

"Well, if any of you actually did the job you elected yourselves to, then maybe you wouldn't have that problem." Iñaki rolled his eyes, taking a step forward, I guess trying to take the attention from the singular human in our presence.

"I see your still here Iñaki. Very interesting." Alec mused, trying to get under my brother's skin.

"Is there something you need from us?" Giusi voiced, standing tall next to Liam. They both looked as STOEK as could be. If I didn't know them I would think they were heartless monsters.

"Not from you." Jane practically sang, making me roll my eyes.

"We're here for the Cullen's little human pet." Alec continued, taring his eyes away from Nacho. "Alice promised us she would be turned. Why is she still human?"

"The date is set." Bella stated, her voice not wavering one bit. Jane's eyes whipped to the sole human standing in our ranks.

"Now run away little girl." I laughed, getting fed up with her presence.

"Is someone sad she doesn't get to go home to daddy like the rest of us?" Jane quipped, stepping forward, looking me dead in the eye. I didn't back down. She never scared me. Rather, she was normally scared of me. "I see you have befriended the useless Cullen."

"And I see you still go to my father's beck and call. Sad you haven't gotten some free will." I shrugged, trying to show how her comment about Emmett didn't get under my skin.
