Five ~ Emmett's My Boyfriend, Not My Secretary

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I quit. I genuinely have no clue how to help this family." Liam groaned, collapsing in an empty chair at the dinner table. My family, who could eat human food, was gathered around our dining room table for family dinner.

"Still the same case?" Oliver questioned as he dug into what I think was his third helping of meatloaf.

"Yes. I swear this kid just fell off the earth, and I have absolutely no idea how to help his parents." Liam continued, slouching forward, so his head collided with the kitchen table.

"Maybe give them some gummy bears? That always makes me happy." Charlotte suggested, sending her uncle a bright shining smile.

"Well, Charlie, I absolutely love that idea. Thank you." Liam replied, cracking an actual genuine smile at the little girl's sweetness. He leaned over to engulf her in a hug as she let out a little squeak, probably due to how cold he was.

"Of course, uncle Liam. I'm glad to help!" She pipped up before jumping out of her chair and scurrying away.

"Heeey Char, you need to clear your plate." Betty yelled after her daughter, causing the little blonde to come speeding back inside at supernatural speed. She grabbed the small plastic plate and placed it on the counter next to the sink before speeding away again.

"Woah, what's her hurry?" Iñaki laughed, looking up from his conversation with Aki.

"She's watching Pinne and Fer." Keiri tried to explain.

"Phineas and Ferb." Aki translated for the table.

"Of course." I laughed, remembering the number of times I found the little girls snuggled up on the couch with the remote between them as the show played on the large tv.

"So, what's your plan with the Biers kid anyway?" Aki questioned as the rest of the kids got up and left.

"I guess try to find a way to soften the blow?" Liam suggested shrugging.

"I can't imagine someone having to come tell me my son was missing..." Betty stressed, running a hand through her hair.

"Luckily enough for you, Beth, your son and daughter are supernatural and can already snap any kidnapper in half." Aki tried to suggest.

"You'd think that would ease my mind, but it doesn't." My blonde sister-in-law laughed.

"It should. I worry about my completely human children constantly." Aki chuckled, clearing the table with her superhuman speed.

"We should be on our way. I'll get the kids." Betty suggested, standing up before walking out of the kitchen towards the top floor that housed all the children.

"Are you guys excited for the wedding and the last-minute planning?" Liam asked as he stood up to clean dishes.

"Personally? Yeah! I am very excited. Emily and Sam are so sweet and cute; they deserve the most amazing wedding. Luz and I are here to make sure that happens." The little hybrid explained as she grabbed a coat.

"Well, have fun! Don't get eaten by any of those mutts."

"Li, that's not how it works, and your dumb ass knows it." I laughed, punching him lightly before speeding out the door to catch up with the rest of our group.
