nini went to her last class of the day, which was music.
she walked into the class to see one last spot next to-
'no no no no no.'
she goes to sit down next to ricky and keeps her eyes on her book.
"good afternoon class! welcome back to another year, hopefully you all had an eventful summer, and you grew out of your seedlings, sprouting to become a beautiful flower!" miss jenn gushes
nini looks at the teacher with her eyes squinted.
"seriously what is wrong with this teacher?" nini whispers
"she's always like this." ricky says
nini takes a deep breath and gulps as she keeps her eyes on the teacher
"now, for this year, you will have to compose a song that should make up a story. i have chosen your partners based on your skills from last year, so there will be no backing out."
nini felt her heart beating rapidly at those words. she's watched too many movies to hope for anything else than what she was expecting.
"i have put the paper with the partners written down and your theme, you may come up when your ready." she smiles
everyone stands up and heads towards the paper on the desk and nini shakes her head with the knowledge that she was right.

nini looks up to see ricky biting the inside of his cheek.
she walks over to miss jenn and clears her throat
"uh- with all due respect miss, i don't think i can work with ricky-"
"nini, that song that you both wrote last year was the best by far. you both have some real talent together and your voices blend well harmoniously." she says firmly.
nini sighs and looks back at ricky before nodding and walking over to him.
"uh-so, we're partners. again." he says
"yep." she says
they both stay there in silence before opening their books and writing in individually.
