nini and ricky arrive back at her house at about 8pm and when she enters the living room, she's engulfed in a bunch of people asking overlapping questions
"nini!" "are you okay?" "where were you?" "we were so worried" "thank god you're okay!"
nini catches her breath after being suffocated by her friends and family and sees ricky looking at her.
"is it okay if i just go to sleep?" she asks her moms
they both look at ricky with questioning looks and he nods his head
"of course honey." dana smiles
nini adjusts her bag before turning to ricky
"thank you." she whispers
"you can always come to me." he tells her
the girl nods and looks at everyone, smiling weekly before going upstairs.
everyone watches her until she's out of sight before turning to ricky for the explanation
"i don't know how to say it." he mutters
"usually with words." carlos says, folding his arms across his chest
ricky rolls his eyes and takes a deep breath "well-uh- she kind of called james and -uh- a girl answered, saying he was in the shower..."
everyone's jaws drop and they look at ricky dumbfounded
"are you serious right now?!" maya exclaims annoyed
"yeah... so, i comforted her because i didn't think she wanted to come back so soon." he tells them
they all nod in understanding.
"where was she?" ashlyn asks
"i don't think i should tell you guys that."
"why not?" aria asks
"because she always said it was her thinking place. the place she goes to think."
"but you still knew where she was." jacob says bluntly
"look, you guys want to know where she was, ask her. it's not my place." ricky says frustrated.
he knew that they all hated him, but they were bombarding him with a bunch of questions and looking at him with judgy looks. it bothered him.
"just, tell me how she's feeling tomorrow?" he pleads.
aria takes a deep breath and says "okay."
ricky nods and turns around to leave
"thank you for what you did." aria smiles
ricky turns and says "of course."
and with that, he leaves the house, worried about the girl upstairs.

nini was lying down in her bedroom staring at the ceiling.
she didn't really know what to do.
suddenly, she hears a buzz from her phone.
silently praying and hoping it wasn't him. she takes the device off of the white nightstand and sees who it is.
the girl felt her heart warm up when she sees that it was a text from ricky.

nini felt a small smile appear on her face and she decides to text him back.

nini sees ricky facetime calling her and she instantly presses the green button to answer

she stifles a little giggle when she sees his face.
"what?" he asks confused
"what the hell are you doing with your hoodie?"
"i'm cold okay?!" he tells her
nini nods with a small smile and his smile widens when he sees that he could make her feel a little better.
they start talking about anything and everything.
"that is where you are wrong nini. gossip girl is not one of the best tv shows." he groans
"yes it is! i mean it's full of drama and gossip. hence the name!" she defends
"no, see criminal minds and grey's anatomy are the best shows ever made." he smirks
"you are so basic." she says, playfully rolling her eyes
he gasps dramatically and brings a hand to his chest "excuse me?!"
nini giggles and nods as she sits up.
"i am not basic. if anyone is basic, it's you with your gossip girl, full house fanatic." he tells her
"don't make fun of full house! it's my go-to series when i'm in a bad mood." she says, pointing at the screen
"so, you mean to say that you are watching full house right now?"
the girl nods and presses on a button to flip the camera, showing the laptop on her bed currently playing an episode of the family sitcom.
"i've never watched it." he tells her with a shrug
nini flips the camera back for ricky to see her jaw dropped and her eyes wide.
"what?" he asks confused
"you've never seen full house?! are you crazy?!" she shrieks
"i just never really-"
the girl shakes her head "you are watching it."
"wait what? nini how are we supposed-"
"i'm going to put my phone against something and flip the camera for you to watch with me." she tells him
"nini-" the boy laughs when he sees that she's serious.
"okay, now i'm playing the first episode."
"you know i can see right?" he tells her
nini playfully rolls her eyes and she lies down as the episode plays.
"if i fall asleep, don't hang up." she whispers
"why?" he asks her as he lies back on his bed
"i just don't want to be alone." she says embarrassed
ricky smiles softly and nods his head "okay."
and soon enough, both of them were asleep, still on the call with each other.
