Chapter 23

THALIA'S POV

It's already 7 pm and I'm still in the car. I am on my to do the Airport at mukhang ako nalang ang iniintay. Our flight to boracay is at 8:30 and damn!
Baka iwan nila ako!

Dali dali akong bumaba at pumunta sa lugar kung nasaan sila Ashi. Lumapit ako sakanila ng matanaw ko sila mula sa malayo. Laurynne hugged me like we didn't saw each other earlier. I stopped when i saw Gabriel's friends. kompleto silang lahat except for Gabriel. Ate Daisy, Trina, Carlo and justin, ate Emily was here too!

Akala ko kami kami lang. It's Ashi's birthday celebration so i don't have the right to complain about his other friends. At least wala si Gabriel. He's the reason why i'm hesitating to come because i know that he will be here too. but thank goodness, he's not here. It's not that i'm mad at him. It's just that i don't want to be with him anymore.

"Oh, eto na yung kape niyo"

My eyes widened when i heard his voice. I unconsciously looked back and our eyes met so i immediately looked away. Akala ko hindi siya kasama!

Nag-intay kami ng ilang minuto at isa-isa nilang chineck ang ID at passport namin. We proceed to the next step and then we entered the plane. Marami kaming magkakasama at halos kalahati kami ng economy class. Laurynne was seating next to me at sa likod namin ay sina Ashi at luis, nasa kabilang gilid naman si Gab at si Jian Carlo.

The flight attendant made her announcement before the take off. We were inches away from each other but i can clearly see from my peripheral view that Gabriel keeps on glancing at me, it's so damn obvious that even Laurynne noticed it.

"pansinin mo na kaya" i looked at Laurynne as she started talking to me "nakakaawa naman yung tao, mababaliw na kakaisip kung anong atraso niya kasi hindi mo siya pinapansin"

I felt a punch on my chest because of what she said.

"wala namang rason para pansinin ko siya right?" i defended myself

"alam mo lia gusto mo siya eh, natatakot ka lang" she muttered "natatakot kang magmahal kasi natatakot kang masaktan, natatakot kang mangyari kung anong nangyari sa mga magulang mo"

I didn't answer.

"hindi mo ba naiisip na baka sa kakaiwas mo sakanya bigla siyang makahanap ng iba? sainyong dalawa ikaw ang mas masasaktan pag nagkataon, trust me thalia, kilala kita" she added

Para niya akong sinasampal ng katotohanan. She's right, natatakot akong magmahal. Dahil pag nagmahal ka, masasaktan at masasaktan ka.

I fucking hate this kind of feeling. Tinatraydor ako ng sarili kong puso, hindi ako ganito, hindi ako dapat ganito. I glance at Gabriel but he's already asleep, everyone was sleeping.

I was just staring at his innocent face and I couldn't help but to feel guilty. He's hurting and that's because of me. He doesn't deserve that. He doesn't deserve me either.

I closed my eyes and sleep.

"Girl, gising na"

Laurynne whispered so i opened my eyes. Uminom ako ng tubig pagkagising ko. We heard an announcement that we are already in boracay so i get ready.

Tumayo na kami at naglakad papalabas ng eroplano. We took some photos because the moon was so bright and beautiful tonight. tatlong puting van ang sumundo samin pagkalabas namin ng airport. Malaki ito kaya nagkasya kaming lahat. Nasa backseat kami at nasa kaliwa ko si Laurynne tapos nasa kanan ko naman ay si jian carlo at katabi niya si Gabriel, gusto ko pang matulog pero sobrang ingay ni Carlo at pati si Gabriel ay naiinis sakanya dahil ang daldal niya. Halos mabingi rin ako dahil minu-minutong nag-aaway si Laurynne at Carlo. Para talaga silang aso at pusa, minsan lang nagkakasundo.
