CHAPTER 35

THALIA'S POV

"Hey, birthday girl what's wrong? Mukha kang inutangan" Laurynne mouthed

I sighed "wala, pakiramdam ko lang may tinatago sakin si Gab"

Napakunot naman ang noo ni Laurynne dahil sa sinabi ko "huh? pano mo nasabi?"

"parang lagi siyang malalim ang iniisip, tapos laging busy, late replies tapos laging may ginagawa" i answered

Napaiwas naman siya ng tingin at matagal bago nagsalita "uhm baka naman busy lang sa...s-school"

"you think so?" i sighed "maybe I'm just being paranoid"

Isang araw lang kaming nagkita sa linggong ito at kahit ngayong birthday ko ay hindi man lang siya nagpapakita sakin, baka busy lang nga siguro siya sa school. I should understand him. It's just that I got used of him being around all the time kaya naninibago ako ngayon. We went back to our room when we finish our lunch. I saw Jessica and i wanted so bad to ask him about Gabriel but she was just so nice to me at nagiguilty ako na pinaghihinalaan ko siya. Maghapon tuloy akong malungkot kahit birthday ko dahil hindi ko pa rin nakikita si Gabriel, even luis and ashi and some of my friends.

When i got home, we ate pasta and cake because tita cooked for my birthday. I giggled when bella gave me a bracelet as a gift so that were 'matchy' daw. I spent the whole night studying and answering some birthday greetings. I also got a call from my Mom and we both got sad because I'm already 20 and we still haven't celebrate my birthday together. I was ready to sleep even though I'm sleepy yet but my phone vibrated and i saw jian carlo calling.
I don't know why i feel nervous as i answer the call.

"h-hello?" i mouthed

"thalia si gab" he answered which made me feel nervous. I don't know why i can feel that he's trembling.

"what happened?" i asked

"m-may nangyare sakanya, nakasagasa siya ay hindi pala, n-nasagasan siya thalia" he replied

I don't know what he's talking about but i immediately run and went to the place that he told me. I was so nervous. Lakad takbo kong tinutungo ang lugar na yon at parang nanghihina ang tuhod ko. Hingal na hingal ako nang makarating sa resort nila Jessica na sinabi sakin ni Carlo. Hindi ko maintindihan kung anong nangyayare. Madilim at walang tao ang resort mabuti nalang at naka pajama at sweater ako kaya hindi masyadong malamig. Napatalon ako sa gulat nang biglang mag ilaw ang paligid kasabay ng pagtugtog ng kanta. My eyes widened when i saw him walking towards me with a flower of roses in his hands. He was just staring at me while smiling, showing his dimples. He chuckled when he was already in front of me and looked at me from head-to-toe, i got conscious
because of my clothes. He was wearing a suit while i was just wearing my sleepwear and a pair of slippers.
He asked me to dance while araw-araw by Ben&ben was playing.
My eyes got teary as i stared at his face. He was the greatest thing that ever happened to me and I don't want to lose this man. He was my peace in this chaotic world, he always make my heart feel better, he helps me heal, he loves me despite of the thought that the world might separate us.

"handa rin akong piliin ka araw-araw" he mouthed as the chorus of the song goes by

I hugged him and he kissed me on the forehead.

"thank you, i love you so so much" i whispered

"SANA ALL!!!"  I heard jian carlo shouted and saw him at the little shed
with our other friends.

"you planned this, didn't you?" i asked Gabriel

"of course" he smirked "sorry hindi kita mabigyan ng mamahaling regalo at magandang birthday party sa mamahaling hotel, hindi ko pa kasi afford eh" he smiled a little and looked down a little "pero promise ko sayo pag naging abogado na ko bibilhin ko lahat ng gusto mo at lahat ng deserve mo, eto lang muna sa ngayon kasi eto pa lang yung afford ko"

"don't say that, this is more than enough" i replied "i can't wait to see you achieve your dreams, love"

"so don't give up okay?" i added

"sa'tin?"

"no, don't give up on your dreams" i answered "kahit hindi mo na 'ko kasama ipangako mong tutuparin mo ang pangarap mo"

He chuckled "kaya ko ba yon? nang wala ka? Hindi ata eh" tumingin siya sa mga mata ko at matagal bago siya nakasagot sakin "mangako ka rin, tutuparin mo rin ang pangarap mo ha? Kahit anong mangyare"

I nodded.

Kumain kami at nagkulitan pa sa dagat kasama ang mga kaibigan namin kaya basang basa kami ngayon. It was almost 1 am when we went home. When i woke up the next morning, i took a bat and wore my uniform, ate breakfast and went to school. I almost got late but good thing Mrs. Nervies wasn't that strict. We had a test at the first and third subject and i had lunch with Gabriel and then hours later dismissal na. I feel like i just yawned all day because i only slept for 3 hours.

The whole week was so stressful but i still survived it. I'm still alive. I don't get enough sleep almost every day because there's a lot of paperworks and a lot of things to memorize, a lot of exams and recitations. It has been a tough week.

Today is Saturday and I went to Gabriel's place so that we could study together. When i got there i saw Tita Yanna doing the dishes and she smiled and walked towards me when she saw me entered the door, ate ella is studying at the sala and she looked so stressed. I went to Gabriel's room and opened the door. I was so shocked to see him topless, nakita ko naman siya ng ganyan noon nung nag boracay kami but he looked hotter kapag kakaligo lang. I feel like his abs were waving at me. What the hell thalia! What are you thinking?! Gosh!

"uy love!" Gabriel exclaimed

"a-ah hi" i looked away when he was wearing his shirt

"okay lang ba sayo kung dito nalang tayo? nag-aaral rin kasi si ate sa baba"
He asked

"uhm yes, it's okay" i answered

I saw a lot of books on his desk. I put down my books and get my pen and notebook inside my bag. He take a seat and start studying. We were just quiet the whole time, i was murmuring some words to memorize them and then review them later. Gabriel was just writing and then held his chin to think or read something from the book and start writing again. When i finished reviewing them, i told Gabriel that i will go downstairs to help tita yanna. I volunteered to cook while she was making desert. I cooked menudo and i was confident about it because it taste good.

"hmm.. ang sarap ah" Gabriel mouthed, hindi ko alam kung totoo o sadyang binobola niya lang ako

"Ang OA ah"  sagot ko at tinawanan niya lang ako

Kumuha si ate ella at tinikman iyon, napahawak siya sa bibig niya at dumiretso sa lababo para sumuka. Lumapit naman si Tita Yanna para alalayaan siya.

"okay ka lang ba, anak? may sakit ka ba?" Tita Yanna asked

"okay ka lang ate? masarap naman yung menudo ah" Gabriel mouthed

"A-ahm baka stess lang po, ma" she answered and look away

I can sense something and i wish it wasn't true. I volunteered to wash the dishes but Tita Yanna won't let me so we just went to Gabriel's room and study again.
