CHAPTER 34

THALIA'S POV

My first year of college ended well. It's stressing, yes, but i guess that was just the first chapter of how stressful college was because when i became a 2nd year student. Things change. Or should I say, school became more difficult and stressing? I don't get enough sleep because i need to do my homeworks and other paperworks that needs to be done. Hindi na rin kami madalas mag kita kita ng mga kaibigan ko kahit nasa isang campus na kami dahil pare-pareho kaming busy. Naiintindihan naman namin ang isat-isa at yun ang mahalaga, we do understand that we don't need to meet everyday just to prove our friendships. We have other things to do and we have responsibilities now so we respect each other's time.

Last week nag celebrate kami ng pagkapanalo namin sa finals last game. Hindi na rin kami katulad noon kalakas, minsan panalo, minsan talo, ang importante nag-eenjoy pa rin kami sa ginagawa namin. I remember when i was in high school, i was the happiest when i'm playing volleyball because it's where I'm best at. But now, i feel like I'm not the same person anymore when it comes to this, doing the things that I'm passionate about didn't excite me anymore. I felt like a loser.

I have to survive every day for my dreams and for myself. I have to be strong to be able to achieve the life that i want for myself. Sometimes i just breakdown because I can't hold it anymore, i feel so so tired and just want to ask my Dad to stop this and help me but i don't want to ruin my life, my dreams, myself. So as long as i have people who always help me out when i can't hold it anymore and as long as i have my self, i will fight for it. I will fight for my dreams.

Gabriel has been there through thick and thin and i am so grateful for that. God knows that I want this man for a lifetime. He's my only hope. He's my comfort in this chaotic world. He's my home. I'm glad i have him.

Going on church dates, tapsilogan dates, bulalohan dates, movie dates, picnic dates and just going on gym with him makes me feel so happy. I love him so so much. He never misses out on sending me iloveyou's at 3 am because he knew that my anxiety usually attacks at that hour. He's full of surprises and I can't really guess what he's up to sometimes. Just like my last birthday, i thought we were just going to eat at a restaurant but he take me to tagaytay instead. I am dating the biggest blessing in my life and I could never ask for more.

The next morning, i wake up early for the art exhibit that will be held in school. Ate Emy invited us and i also love arts so i am so excited to see a lot there. I took a bath and did my makeup. I wore my high-waisted pants and blue baby-tee. Gabriel texted me that he's already here so i immediately walked down the stairs and opened the door of our house.
I hugged him the moment i saw him and he kissed my forehead. We just arrived on time and some of our friends were already here too. I was so amazed by all the drawings and paintings that was made by the arts students. They were all amazing. I took a photo of him and he also took a photo of me and we took a photo of us together. When we reached the second floor, my mouth hanged opened because of how beautiful these arts were. My phone vibrated and when i opened it i saw a notification.

Wow. Like wow. How come a simple caption can make me this happy. It's not his first time flexing me on social media but i still feel so much kilig when i get that kind of notification. We ate lunch at Bona's and went home right after. I did some school works and review for an exam before sleeping.

The next day was Monday and i have classes so i woke up early and took a bath, wore my uniform and went to school. We have a test today and that made me a little nervous because the topic that i reviewed last night wasn't included in this test. Good thing i am still familiar with this so i still got a high score. I went to Laurynne's room when it's already time for lunch so we can eat lunch together. I ordered pasta because I was craving for it  last night.

"malapit na birthday mo, ano gusto mong gift?" Laurynne  asked

I almost forgot my birthday! Ngayong week na pala yon?! I got so busy with school kaya nakalimutan kong malapit na akong mag birthday.

"I want Jordan shoes please" i tried to act cute

"bili ka" she answered

Napanguso nalang ako habang tinatawanan niya. Mahal na mahal talaga ako neto noh? Napakaganda pa kausap. Pagkatapos naming kumain ay dumiretso na kami sa room.

I grabbed my bag and went outside already. I was so surprise to see Gabriel waiting for me at the front door. I was about to call him when Jessica, my classmate and also a friend of mine came to him.
Tumago para hindi nila ako makita. Hindi ko marinig ang pinag uusapan nila because they were whispering like they are talking about a very important thing. Inantay ko na lamang na matapos ang usapan nila at pinawalang bahala ang nakita ko. Maybe they just need to talk about something important, yes, that's it. I'm just overthinking. When they finished talking i run towards him and he was so shocked when he saw me.

"hi love" i greeted

"h-hello love" he answered and i wonder why he's stuttering

Naglakad kami papuntang parking at habang nasa byahe ay hindi ko maiwasan hindi tumingin sakanya. Parang ang lalim ng iniisip niya.

"love?"  i called but he didn't answer so i guess he didn't heard it.

I tried to get his attention again "hey, love?"

"a-ah y-yes baby?" he answered

"uhm.. Is there a problem?" i asked

"nothing" he smiled

He's very observant and analytical but he's also not good in lying. I know he's lying. I know he's hiding something from me.
