"Babe, do you want jam or honey on your toast?" I asked Jay.

He rolled over on the bed to face me. I smiled as I saw the horror on his face.

"Shit! You made me breakfast in bed? I told you I was going to make you it!"

I laughed. "I know but you've been making it for me for the past three days and I feel bad. Also, I woke up first," I said with a smile, placing the tray of breakfast I made on his lap.

"I'm not eating this," he responded, stubbornly. It had been a three days since Jay had been discharged from the hospital. I had been discharged four days before him but went to the hospital a lot to get my arm checked up on or to go and visit Jay.

Jay and I had been living in my dorm for around three days now. My arm was still in a cast but I was going to take it off later today. Jay still found it slightly hard to walk however he was making a drastic recovery and seemed to be recovering fast.

He claimed it hurt sometimes when he breathed as his lungs touched his now recovered but bruised ribs.

"Just eat it!" I ordered. "Or else."

"Or else what?"

"Just or else," I said with a wink.

"I'm curious to find out what this or else is now,"

"No you're not. Now eat," I responded with a frown. "So jam or honey?"

"Chocolate,"

"What? I don't believe chocolate was an option," I informed him, frowning once more.

"I'll take honey if you give me a kiss," Jay said, smiling. I rolled my eyes.

I moved my head closer towards his face as if I was about to kiss him. I could feel his breathe on my face, I was that close. He puckered his lips. "You'll just have butter." I said with a laugh. Jay rolled his eyes.

"Fine. But I still want my kiss,"

"Nope. Not happening,"

"Why?" Jay moaned.

"If you want a kiss, come and give it to me yourself,"

Jay pushed the tray to the side. He stood up and walked towards me. I still hadn't gotten over the fact of how gorgeous he actually was.

He got closer, hugging his warm arms around my body. There was no space between us. I felt his stomach rise and drop slowly and gently as he breathed. Slowly, he leaned his head in towards mine. His lips pressed on mine and as they did, I closed my eyes. I responded to this kiss, deepening it. Sparks flew all over my body, sending adrenaline around my body. He was officially mine now but every time I thought about this, I thought about how crazy this was. I wrapped my arms around his neck as we stood there. The kiss lasted a couple of minutes and none of us wanted to pull away but we knew we had to.

"Chocolate it is," I said after the kiss, trying to stop myself from smiling. I was so happy this was finally working out. We were finally a couple. No more lies. No more secrets. No more tears. Just love.

"I thought you didn't have any," Jay said with a raised eyebrow.

"We do now," I said with a wink. I was about to go off and spread Jay's toast with chocolate however he grabbed my arm.

I looked down at him wondering what he was doing. We both gazed into each other's eyes for a moment before he cleared his throat awkwardly, breaking the gaze.

Even the slightest touch got my body warming up. Every time we touched I got this feeling. I felt like I would grow wings any minute now and fly. Anywhere, anytime, I'd just be happy to be with Jay. To know that I'm safe. To know that I'm loved and cared for. Every time I think of it, it makes me smile.
