Long hallways

Long hallways. No grounders in sight. Nik walks in front of me leading me to Lexa. I walk a few feet behind him, letting my eyes scan and memorize every surrounding thing. Trying to make a mental map in my head. But within a few moments Nik stops walking almost causing me to run into him. Thankfully I don't. That could've added tension that really isn't needed. But nevertheless Nik faces a big double set of doors and opens them walking in, stepping off to the side. In that moment I look ahead, walking slowly into the room. Lexa sat ahead of me on some type of throne. She was alone. Which is sort of weird, but okay.

"Thank you Nik. Leave us," Lexa said. I turn, glancing over my shoulder spotting Nik exiting the room. Once the two sets of doors close I slowly turn my head back locking eyes with Lexa's. She seemed less tense and emotionless than she was when the other grounder had been in here. The way her eyes stayed on mine and the way they appeared soft made me feel...Less threatened. Less scared. But I knew either way we had to speak.

"So? Why did you need me or one of my people?" I ask taking a few steps forward, crossing my arms over my chest. Both of our eyes stayed locked.

"Your people have killed many of my people-" She pauses, her eyes going back to how they were when her people are around. I look away, shifting in the position I stand. "You all are on our territory. The woods belong to Trikru."

"That's great and all but like I've said and even my people have said...We had no clue there was anybody down here," I said, picking my head up. Lexa's jaw was clenched. She really didn't look happy, so I look away shaking my head from side to side. "And yes, we've killed some of your people, but in all honesty you and the rest of Trikru started this...This war."

"You will not speak to me that way!" She raised her voice. I pick my head up to find the green eyed girl standing. I sink my teeth into my bottom lip and shake my head, sucking up everything.

"Speak to you what way? With the truth?" I pause a quick moment before continuing. "If you all would've came and talked to us instead of trying to kill us we could end this war. And we've tried ending it!"

"Silence," Lexa's voice speaks but it's not real loud, so I keep going dropping my arms from my chest.

"Lincoln set something up on the bridge-"

"SILENCE!" She shouted this time walking swiftly towards me. My breath hitches as she stands inches from me. I gulp, swallowing the saliva that's built up in my mouth staring back at the grounder. "Your people blew up that bridge killing many of warriors. My warriors. THeir blood is on the sky peoples hands and blood must have blood."

I stand in silence watching her eyes switch back and forth between mine. Neither of us speak. I think of how my people got the tools to build a bomb and blow the grounders up. It didn't make any sense considering Raven said they barely had any to build bullets. So how'd they get something so powerful?

"Why? We can end this."

"This is our way Y/N. It's always been our way."

"Then...Then be the one to break it. Be stronger than the past leaders-"
