"What are you doing awake?" Lexa's voice speaks. I jump and glance over my shoulder locking with the girl's green eyes.
"Couldn't sleep," I respond, looking away and back to the stars. Within a few moments I seen Lexa bend down beside me and take a seat. We sat in silence for a little while before I heard her sigh gently. I turn my head looking towards her, noticing her war paint isn't around her eyes like it always is. Or that her hair isn't braided and her symbol between her eyebrows is no longer there. I tilt my head and a small smile dances on my lips looking to the girl.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" She asks and i blink landing on her eyes.
"Because ...You're beautiful," I whisper. I see the pink rise to Lexa's cheeks and I can't help the chuckle that escapes my lips. I look away from her and look back to the stars feeling her grab a hold of my hand. Slowly my eyes gravitate towards our hands and admire the picture. But much rather enjoying the feeling. We have never held hands like this before. Sure she's held my hand when she's dragged me around and all that. But holding my hand in a peaceful, personal space like this. It felt right. It felt normal.
"It's nice to just sit here," Lexa whispered. I nod, agreeing. "I never really get to do this."
"Why?" I ask.
"I'm always busy. Between making plans with Indra, meetings about my coalition, training with the night bloods-"
"The night bloods...You have yet to tell me how that all works," I say, cutting the girl off. A smile spreads to Lexa's lips and she nods.
"Soon. I promise. Right now I just want to look at the stars." Another smile spreads to my own lips now and I nod. Silence takes over us as our eyes remain on the stars, high above where we sit together.
Screams echo through the arena. My head buzzed and rang and honestly I felt like dying. Nik woke me up and I swear it was still pitch black out. But never the less he got me up and I got dressed. And somehow I managed to get to the back of the tower for training. When I got here I found Lexa training with the night bloods. They all looked like they've been out here for hours. It's barely 7:30 in the morning. I wish I could be that motivated. But it's nice to just watch. It kind of amazes me how me and Lexa don't use any weapons while the night bloods get too. I would love to work with a sword. Mmm on second thought that's probably a bad idea. I'm not any good with no sword. I'm probably worse with a sword. But a gun? I'm sure I'm not that bad. I can't be.
"Hey Y/N," a familiar voice said. I turn my head a bit finding Aidan.
"Hey Aidan. How's training?" I ask. A small smile lightens up the boy's face.
"It's good. Heda's a well trained fighter," he responds looking away from me and looking out to Lexa. I turn and find her bowing to one of the night blood kids.
