Talk around camp was getting heavy

Talk around camp was getting heavy. I tried not to pay any attention. We got back to Arkadia early this morning and since I've been trying to keep myself busy. My journal only does so much. From drawing or writing, but I've find myself wanting to do more. I've tried leaving the walls of the camp but the guards have told me their under orders of I'm not allowed. And those orders could have only been given by Abby as she's chancellor. The whole situation is still confusing to me. I've a lot since Lexa and no ones really told me what's going on. I try to piece everything together myself but I can only come up with so much.

"Y/N," I hear my name and glance up from my journal just in time to see Murphy taking a seat beside me. I roll my eyes and look back down, gently closing my journal. "You still don't like me?"

"Haven't decided," I respond looking up noticing a large group of grounders lead by Indra coming into the camp. "W-What the hell is that about?"

"They're here to train. Use our guns and they're going to teach us skills," Murphy answered adding, "I overheard Kane talking with Jaha."

I nod my head, watching Indra and Kane talking. And not long after does Indra give up her weapons and walk into the Ark. Her warriors follow and I just simply watch until a thought crosses my mind.

"Murphy?"

"Hmm?"

"W-Why are they even training with us?" I question turning away from the grounders and to the boy.

"Hmph, nobody's caught you up to speed?" He turns slightly, our eyes meeting. I stay silent as he nods his head. "Some of us 100 went missing. Clarke escapes and I guess these people are called the mountain men."

"The mountain men?" Murphy nods bringing his knees to his and wrapping his arms around them.

"Yeah. I guess they're bad people and they have our people. Like Monty, Jasper, Harper, Miller-"

"Seriously?" Murphy nods and I look away seeing Indra and the grounders coming back out. Different groups of the grounders form and fighting begins. And from where I sit they're amazing. I can't say the same about myself. I've never fought like them and quite honestly I don't think any of my people have.

A soft sigh escapes my lips as I put my journal into my bag and zip it up. I stand up bringing the bag up with me, swinging it over my shoulder. Out of the corner of my eyes I see Murphy stand and look at the grounders. No more communication is spoken between us as we head our separate ways. I head towards the fights and get close next to Kane seeing Octavia walk up next to him just as I arrive.

"Impressive, aren't they?" Kane said, admiring the grounders fighting. "What doesn't kill them...Makes them stronger."

I clench my jaw and glance my eyes to Octavia. Her face was emotionless as she remained silent, looking out to the grounders fighting. I studied her for a moment hearing a grounder yelling then hear Indra speak in grounder. That's when my eyes begin to follow Octavia who steps towards them, slipping off her sword. My eyes widen and I take a step forward but don't get far feeling a hand stop me. I glance to the side locking eyes with Kane who shakes his head.
