Y/N's POV:

My friends and I were walking through the halls of Saint Georgia High, we were talking about prom and who's taking us. I didn't have anyone to go with unfortunately but I was planning on asking Chester Bennington, my crush. Yes I get that the kid is depressed but that won't stop me, I've liked him for so long and I don't care what anyone thinks.

"I'm going with, Sean! He asked me this morning!" My friend Daniela  said.
"I'm going with Dave!" My other friend Alyssa said.
"I'm going with Ryan!" My other friend Bella said.
"Who are you going with, Y/N?" Daniela asked.
"I don't know" I shrugged.
"Omg are you serious?" Bella stated.
"Yes I'm serious"
"Well you need to find someone, we'll see you at lunch" Alyssa waved bitchily. I rolled my eyes, I was tired of them trying to take advantage of me, I will ask Chester out and they can't stop me.

I found Chester by his locker, his hands were shaking as he placed his books in the locker. I walked up to him.
"Hi, Chester" I greeted, he seemed to have gotten a fright because he dropped his books.
"Oh I'm so sorry!" I bent down and so did he, we picked up his books and papers.
"It's-It's okay" he stuttered.
"No, no it's definitely not okay" I picked up his books and placed them in his locker.
"It's really okay" Chester whimpered.
"No it isn't, lemme make it up to you" I placed my hand on his shoulder.
"You don't have t-to"
"I insist, come sit with me at lunch and come with me to prom"
"Are-Are you serious?"
"I'm not lying am I?"
"N-No"
"Sooo?"
"O-Okay but what about your friends and the school? What will they think when they see you hanging out with the depressed kid?"
"Let them think what they wanna think, this is my choice to hang out with you"
Chester gave me a beautiful smile, he's too gorgeous.
"Shall we go?"
He nodded and we walked into the cafeteria where everyone was staring at us.

"Y/N?!? What are you doing with this depressed loser?!" Alyssa yelled.
"I'm hanging out with him because I want to!"
"But-But, you're supposed to find a highschool sweetheart!" Bella squeaked.
"Not this emo!" Daniela stated.
"Well ladies, he's my highschool sweetheart"
