To Fall Again

Chapter TWENTY-FOUR

The cold wind embrace me, even with my jacket on I stil shiver from the coldness. I stared nervously at the huge mansion in front of us. I can't help but to breathe deeply, trying to maintain my calmness.

Primo reached for my hand, he squeezed it a bit and stared at me with gentle eyes. I smiled at him nervously.

"Let's go?"

Dahan-dahan akong tumango at napalunok na lang sa kaba. Kinakabahan ako sa magiging reaksyon ng pamilya niya kahit pa kanina pa niya akong kino-convinced na sobrang excited daw sila na makita ako. I hope his mother will be okay, it's really bothering lalo pa't she's sick.

Primo opened the large wooden double door. My eyes widened when I saw his family waiting for us along with their housemaids. The two with white hair, I knew already it was his gradparents, even though with that ages of them they still looked breathtaking! Ang gwapo ng lolo niya at sobrang ganda pa din ng lola niya, kitang-kita ang pagka-banyaga. They're both american. His dad looked so kind, he was smiling at me! Kitang-kita na rin ang katandaan, nguniti sobrang matikas at gwapo pa din. Then my eyes drifted to the gorgeous woman sitting on the wheelchair. She looks really beautiful with that silky robe. She's simple yet very elegant. I knew now where's Primo get his features. Kamukhang-kamukha niya ang mommy niya! From eyes to his nose, though his lips was same from his dad.

"Welcome hija." Her lola came to kiss my cheeks.

I was so stunned that I didn't even move after she kissed me! Sa sobrang hiya napa-bow ka-agad ako. My face heated because of embarassment!

"T-hank you po." I stuttered.

Marahang tumawa ang kanyang lolo at sumunod na lumapit. Nahihiya akong ngumiti.

"Primo is right. You're a lovely lady. What's your name again hija?" He smiled.

Napasulyap ako kay Primo. He was stiffling a smile. Ngumuso ako humarap nang muli sa lolo niya.

"Fin po, sir." I smiled nervously.

He laughed with so much amusement. "Drop the formality. Just call me lolo! We're very happy to see you here, though we're sorry that you needed to flew along here we know that Philippines is far from here! You know your lola and I we're old, we can't go through that far. We hope you'll love it here, so enjoy your stay here, okay?"

I nodded and smiled widely. Medyo nabawasan ang hiya. Ang bait-bait ng lolo niya!

"Sure po. The journey was tiring but it's all worth it po."

He smiled. "You're so kind hija. Anyway, William son. What can you say?"

His dad William Evangelista looked handsome with that stubble in him. He looks really kind with that smile. Lumapit siya at tulak-tulak niya ang wheelchair ng magandang ginang na si Phoebe Evangelista.

"We're pleased to see you hija. I hope you'll enjoy your stay here even with the short time." He smiled.

I smiled with my trembling lips. "Thank you po, sir."

He laughed. "No. Call me tito or dad, kung saan ka komportable."

Nahihiya lang akong ngumiti. Nabaling ako kay Phoebe Evangelista nang marahan itong tumawa. Namangha agad ako, how can a woman be this composed and still pretty?! She's calm but not stoic or cold. She's really had this aura that made me gasp! She's so angelic.

My eyes dropped on her hand reaching for mine. I glanced at Primo again, he was just smiling. I smiled at him, I obeyed and let Phoebe Evangelista hold my hands.

"Welcome to our family hija." She said happily yet softly.

My heart beated faster. Parang may mainit na kamay na humawak sa puso ko. Nanginig ang labi ko sa sobrang tuwa. I didn't expect this. I didn't expect them to be this kind, their welcome to me is very warm! Nagiinit ang sulok ng mga mata ko, para akong naiiyak sa sobrang tuwa!
