Sabine, Ezra and Rex woke me up early to go over what I should expect in the impending fight. I didn't protest, knowing that it was something I would have to learn eventually. But I wasn't looking forward to facing The Grand Inquisitor again. We gathered around the holotable, where we could pull up information about our Imperial enemies.
"Alright, we'll start where you know and work our way up." I nodded, Ezra pulled up a hologram of The Grand Inquisitor, his sharp smile still gave me chills.
"The Inquisitor died in a fight with Kanan shortly after you left us. He killed himself."
"H-he's dead?"
"Yes. He's gone." Ezra confirmed,
"Then who are we fighting?"
"We're getting there." Sabine said, giving me a soft smile of reassurance.
"That's how you got your scar, isn't it?" I asked, Ezra turned his gaze to the floor, gently sliding two fingers across the matching scars.
"Yeah. But Kanan fought The Inquisitor, despite thinking I was dead. I think we can all learn a lesson from him." I shook my head in agreement, turning my gaze back to the hologram. Three people, dressed in similar clothes as the Grand Inquisitor, stared straight at me. Their hologram's still but just as terrifying.
"Meet the Seventh Sister, Eighth Brother and Fifth Brother. All deceased, thanks to Maul and Kanan." Ezra explained. Maul, where do I know that name?
"And this-," Rex sighed, showing me a hologram of a black machine, holding a crimson red saber, his slightly red lenses mimicked the monster I saw almost every night. The heavy mechanical breathing filled head.
"This is Darth Vader." The Sith-Lord, Finlay and Holly's killer. My enemy. My whole body trembled, it was the first time I had seen the beast outside of my nightmares and I wanted to kill him.
"Celeste," Ezra jolted me out of my thoughts, knowing he now had my attention he signaled for Sabine to change the hologram, "alright, moving on."
Ezra pulled up a hologram of a middle aged man, the horns atop his head added to the menacing look. The intricate black and crimson designs on his face matched his saber."Maul." Ezra introduced, his shoulders tensing at the name. It seemed like he had his own dark side monsters to deal with, as I had mine.
"He's the one who blinded Kanan and tried to turn me to the dark side."
"Well then, I'm glad his attempts weren't successful." I said, staring into his deep indigo eyes, I hadn't realized how much I missed being part of a team. How much I missed my family being able to pull me out of my deepest, darkest nightmares.
"And our current enemy," a male Chiss replaced Maul on the holotable, "Grand Admiral Thrawn." His white, Imperial uniform was a stark contrast from his crimson irises. Those red eyes held a snide glare, like he was taunting me.
"Our other enemies have given us trouble, but nothing like this, Thrawn is always ten steps ahead of everyone. He never does anything without reason." Ezra stated, glaring at the Imperial.
"The only advantage we have over him is that he underestimated us." Sabine added, a frown taking over her face.
"It's going to take everything we've got to defeat him." There it was again, that light, melancholy tone in his voice. What are you hiding, Ezra?
"Then let's do this, for the people of Lothal."
*WOOO! We're getting down to it. By the way, readers, how are you liking Celeste as a character? Again, thank you for the reads and comments! See you next chapter!*
