Chapter 20

I wanted to stop and say goodbye to Blue or Harry or even Matty but I was too striken by what friends did to eachother here. They lied, they cheated on eachother, they snuck about behind peoples backs and so much more. I couldn face Blue espeically about Indigo. I wanted to know if Indigo was all right. It was extremely late now and my eyes felt heavy. We were driving, dad and I and talking like the past hadnt happened. I tried to forget the past but every time he touched me I flinched and every time he looked at me his eyes were like daggers.

"Bloomgville I read in awe." As we passed a small coastal town.

"Your new home." Dad smiled as he drove through Bloomingville. It was full of quirky little antique and gift shops. I couldnt beleive I was going to live here! I looled down at the sea which I couldnt really see because it was dark. I looked at the dashboard it was three o'clock! Three hours since I had finished my life back there. I saw the shadow of boats down at the shore.

I couldnt help but smile, this was my dream harbour town. Dad was finally fulfilling my dreams and not smashing them to pieces. He pulled up at a cute little cottage. It was parallel to the shore. It was amazing!

"THIS is a council house?" I asked.

"Yep its a bit grotty inside, I told the council my teenage daughter was coming to live with me so they picked me out this one. They were so understanding."

"How did you know I was going to come?"

"I didnt but I wanted you to see I have changed!" I still didnt quite beleive he had the stale smell of alcohol was stillfuming from him and his eyes still hard. Only time would tell. I got out and hauled my suitcase out of the boot and pulled it over to where Dad was unlocking the door. We stepped inside. Dad was wrong it wasnt grotty it was absolutely discusting. The ceilings were green and the light flickered when we turned it on. The carpets were yellow and in the hall there was huge red stain which I didnt want to know what it was. None of the furniture matched and it all looked like it had been here the past three hundred years.

We went into the kitchen. The smell made me gag. It was coming from the yellowy sink. I didnt want to think what it was.

"Oh Emma Im so sorry!" I flinched at being called Emma, it brought back bad memories.

"Its fine it will be really fun to fix up! I think I saw a hardware store on the mainstreet."

"Thats my Ems always thinking on the positive side!" He ruffled my hair gently, I flinched again. Dad looked sadly at me.

"Im not going to hit you!" His voice so full of regret.

"I know but can you just not call me Emma. Mum and I had this thing that every time we moved town we changed our names. I always used my last first name as my surname."

"Yea sure so our second name will be Bloom? I like that! What do you want your first name to be?"

I debated at either Indigo or Lily but I didnt want to be haunted by my past everytime someone said my name.

"Poppy..." Harrys sister. It was a cute name. It might bring back memories of Harry but I never wanted to forget him. My first love.

"Thats really sweet. I dont want an as creative name as Poppy Bloom, I will be..Stevie Bloom?" I laughed as he put on a questionative look. I nodded it was cool.

"What about Orlando?" I teased.

"Ive got the looks for it." He posed like a model. He actually faintly looked like an older, bigger Orlando Bloom without the hair.

Poppy Bloom. I scribbled my name on a page. I liked it!
