Chapter 12

The boys had training the following day so Neco dropped Emily back home before heading to Melwood for today's session. Emily hugged her boyfriend's jumper closer to her body as she lay in her room watching tv while scrolling through her phone.

She found herself texting Neco's oldest sister, Tara. The pair had exchanged numbers last night after getting to know one and other further and talking for a while.

Emily was glad that Neco's family likes her, well according to him anyway. She knew her family adored Neco and it wasn't just because he played football with her older brother.

His youngest sister, Mia, even asked the brunette girl if she would attend one of her dance competitions next week. Which Emily was more than happy to agree too.

After laying in bed for a few more hours, enjoying the piece and alone time she had, Emily still lay in bed with the comforter wrapped around her.

Suddenly the door of her bedroom opened to reveal Neco still in his training attire from this morning. Without saying a word, he threw back the comforter and lay down next to her, resting his head on her chest.

This was a regular occurrence following a tough training session with the Reds at Melwood. She simply smiled as the Welsh wrapped his arms around her before she placed a kiss on his head and started running her hands softly through his hair.

"You okay?" She asked softly even though she couldn't see his face.

"Yeh. Just tired that's all. Can we lay like this for a while?" He questioned in reply as he tightened his grip on her petite figure.

"Sure. We stay like this for as long as you want." The brunette girl promised as the pair simply laid in silence, enjoying each other's company.

Having both fell asleep when Neco arrived earlier, it was late in the evening the couple awoke from their slumber. The pair laid there for a few moments as the tv played in the background.

"I'm hungry." Emily admitted as they lay in her bed.

"Me too." Neco agreed. "Come on, let's go for a drive."

"Okay." The couple removed themselves from the brunette girl's bed and put on their shoes before heading downstairs. Emily stuck her head into the living room where she found her brother and his family relaxing in front of the tv. "We're going out. Be back in a bit. Call me if you need anything."

"Bye." The waved towards the girl as she left the room and the house following her boyfriend.

Emily hopped into the passenger seat of her boyfriend's car as he started the engine and pulled out of the Robertson's driveway and headed towards Mc Donald's.

The 15 minutes car trip consisted of laughing, talking, singing and more. The pair simply enjoyed each other's company as they drove through the streets of Liverpool.

After ordering and getting their food from the fast food drive way, Neco pulled out of the car park and started to drive further from the city.

"Where are we going?" Emily questioned as she lifted the straw of her drink to her lips.

"It's a surprise." Neco replied teasingly.
