I was in my room listening to music when I started to try to do a triple pirouette and it worked. In that moment it was an amazing feeling.

You know that feeling when everything in the world seems right. Even if it is only for a few seconds.

The feeling when nothing can touch you and nothing can bring you down.

The feeling of being in top of the world.

Everybody has a thing that gives them that feeling. For some people it's sports, For some it's skating, For some it's surfing. For the boys it's music, Well I just found mine.

Dance.

As I instinctively lined my feet with out thinking, I pushed off and pulled my leg off. That moment of balance, When your hair follows your body around as you spin on the ball of your foot. That's the moment when everything feels right.

I never realized how much I missed dance until I got here. I would catch myself subconsciously doing a pirouette when I was cooking, Or walking on my toes while shopping. I would sleep with my toes pointed. I have caught myself doing old routines to music at random times.

How have I not realized that this is what I have been missing. I need to dance. It was my escape for many years and now I need it back.

I miss it.

I found myself sitting on my balcony with tears running down my face. Dance was a huge part of my life and I just cut it out like nothing happened, How could I do that? How did I go so long with out realizing that dance is what I need?

I walked inside and went to my closet putting on a sweatshirt and leggings. I grabbed my spinning office chair and pulled it to my desk opening my laptop. I went to google.

Huntington Beach Dance Studios

I started scrolling through my options and reading on different studios. I really like the California Ballet School. I think I want to attend. I found the phone number and was ready to call but first I need to talk to Drew. I opened my door and yelled down stairs. "DREEWWWWW" haha. He came running like there was a fire.

"What's wrong?" He asked out of breath

We walked to the balcony "So I realized that I miss dancing and I wanna go back" I spoke quietly, afraid of what he would say.

"That's great" He hugged me and walked out. Wow. Thanks for your help I guess.

I dialed the number and a lady picked up. "Hello California Ballet School Ryla speaking, How may I help you?"

"Umm- Hi Ryla my names Arielle Chadwick and I was looking in to joining. I was wondering if I would need an addition or if you just sign up."

"Well Arielle you do need to addition I can email the forms to you and if you have any photos or videos of you from the past those are often viewed first and do help you get in."

"Are you able to view them from online?"

"Yes ma'am"

"Okay if you go to LAHonoredDancers.Com and type in Arielle Chadwick there will be multiple photos and videos from past studios"

"Oh yes I've seen your work, You have a very good shot at making it big"

"Thank you ma'am."

"How does a week from today sound for your addition? We can squeeze you in at 2:30 if that works"

"That sounds perfect. What are the details?" I asked talking out a notebook and keeping notes.

"So you will need an addition for each dance type and they must be to different songs. Your pieces must last at least three minutes. You have to wear proper attire. For an addition I would recommend a leotard and a skirt with the proper shoes, except for if you go for a hip hop class then in that case I would go for knee pants and a tee shirt or tank top. Arrive at the studio before 2 for check in, you will be the only dancer aside from the people observing. You can bring four people with you and it should take no more than and hour. You will receive a letter within a week to give you the results and from there you will need to work out a schedule and start attending classes."

"Okay thank you so much"

"See you next week" And she ended the call.

I ran down the stairs and yelled at the boys. "Nobody make plans for a week from today at 2."

Those boys looked at me like I was a freaking physcopath. "Why" They asked in unison.

"Because I have an addition bitches" I yelled. They came to hug me and then I took off to my room.

I was going through my dance clothes and realized I didn't have anything to wear for the addition. I will have to go get something tomorrow. What routines? What classes?

I was sitting on my bed when Wesley crack my door open. "Hey"

"Hey" I said as he walked in.

"Congrats on the addition"

"Thanks" What the- am I blushing?

"So what you doin'" He asked nudging me

"Honestly? I'm stressing"

"Why?"

"My addition is in a week and I have nothing I don't have a song or a dance or an outfit and I have to be ready in a week" I rambled

He stood up and held out his hand "Come on we're going for a walk"

"Wesley I don't have time"

"Bring your phone and we will pick out a song"

"Where are we walking to?"

"Let's go to the beach"

"Okay I need to take my notebook and change real quick just incase I get an idea" He nodded and waited outside me door.

I went to my closet and but on some Jean shorts and a tank top slipping on my flip flops and grabbing my notebook and phone. I walk out to find Wesley standing there waiting "Let's go" I smiled
