I'm Leaving

"GET YOUR ASS OUT OF BED SO WE CAN GET TO THIS MEETING FOR YOU BEFORE YOUR SISTER WHO YOU CHOSE TO LEAVE OUT OUT OF THIS WAKES UP!" I woke up to Wesley yelling at what I am assuming was my brother.

I heard my door open so I closed my eyes and pretended to be asleep. Footsteps came closer to my bed before o felt Wesley lean down to kiss my forehead. "It'll all be okay baby girl" he whispered before he left.

A few minutes after that the front door closed and mine opened. I was going to pretend to be asleep again but I realized it was just Keaton.

"Get ready we leave in an hour" he said and then walked out but stopped at the door "You know my brother loves you right?" He asked

I nodded "and I love him" I said before getting up to get in the shower.

When I got out there was a bag with my name on it and a note.

"Arielle,

I'm sorry I couldn't spend your birthday with you. I wish I could have but there is some things happening that we had to deal with today. I love you and I promise I will make it up to you.

Wesley"

I opened the bag to find 2 outfits for the day and another note. Typical Wesley.

Wasn't sure if you were feeling like a skirt or shorts...Love you

But it was surprisingly cute. I put on the Skirt and Crop top with some black heels...Cute. I put on some basic makeup and did a braid with waves in my hair. I grabbed my phone and went down stairs to meet Keaton.

We walked out and got in his car. "Where are we going?"

"You'll see" he laughed.

"Why did they not tell me?" I asked

"That Drew was leaving?"

I nodded

"Yeah they didn't want you to have to chose. Between your brother and your boyfriend. They didn't want to put you in that position because then 2 of the 3 of you would end up hurt."

"Oh" that's all I could say. Like how do you answer that. You can't be mad because they are trying to help you but you can't be happy because they were keeping something from you.

"Let's just forget the problem and enjoy ourselves" Keaton said parking the car.

I looked out the window to see we were at a concert. It was one of the outdoor concerts with like 5 stages. This should be great.

After 5 solid hours later we were hot and tired. We danced and sang the whole time and just had fun. We got into Keats car and went home. When we walked in I saw Wes sitting on the couch with his head in his hands. When he heard us come in he stood up and walked to me. "Hey baby lets go out and celebrate your birthday"

I could smell that he had had a beer or two. I haven't experienced this side of Wes yet and I don't think I want to.
"Wes no not tonight."

"Why not?"

"Because you are still upset about the meeting today and I'm tired. lets go another time okay?"

"How'd you know about that" he asked through gritted teeth

"It doesn't matter--"

"Keaton!" He yelled

"Wes--" I grabbed his arm to stop him but he raised his hand to hit me. Before he could actually follow through, Keaton grabbed his arm.

"Wes how could you--" he yelled at his brother

"No Keaton it's fine!"

"It's not fine. He knows your past and he's still doing this!"

"It's obvious he's upset and he's been drinking. He Needs time that's all" I picked up my purse and phone and turned to the door

"Where are you going?" Wes yelled at me

"I'm going out for awhile. You need time and I don't think I'll be helping right now"

"But I love you" he whispered

"And I love you but I need to go for now. Keaton I'll talk to you in a few days"

"So your leaving? Just like your brother!" He yelled at me

"Yes. I'm leaving. For now but I will be back. I promise." I kissed his cheek and walked out the door.
