Fate. A predetermined supernatural power. The will of the universe. Fate is order. It writes, and rewrites, gives and takes. It spins vibrant red strings that flow into the world and connect people who are destined to meet, to love, to share a story...
➳ Also, bouts of tension between two highly incompatible boys ➳ a potential friends-to-lovers romance between girls ➳ lots of platonic love among a small group of unlikely friends in a Japanese highschool setting
If you like anime, you might like this book. If you don't, you might still like this book. At it's rawest, Ruby Red Threads is a story about three lonely people who are not as lonely by the end, and if that sounds like something you want to read about, you might like this book.
I promise it will be gay.

◍ I have been commended on the originality of this story over and over. People have told me how they think it's really creative how this story is derived from an ancient tale, and I just want to make it very clear that though the characters and most of the world building is entirely my own, there are loads of stories out there with a protagonist who can see the red strings of fate.
The soulmate AU is a very popular fanfiction trope, especially in the anime community. (Infact, RRT was inspired by a Kiribaku fanfic XD) I don't want to take credit for something I didn't come up with. I only took a pre-existing trope and added my own twist to it.
Lastly, thank you so much for clicking on this book. I'm working really hard to mold RRT into the best version it can be so that it's worth your while<3
