To make eye contact

But I try, I really do
And sometimes when I try you
Seem to appreciate it
But then
Sometimes I can’t and
That is just as fine as doing so
Because I catch a glimpse
From the
Corner of my eyes
As you smile gently at me or
Your gaze slightly
Lingers on
My face, my eyes
And I can’t help but love it
