I lay in bed, I can't move. I can barley breathe, I can't think straight. All I have to do is get to Sam.
Mum sits on the side of the bed, next to me. "It's going to be ok, the doctor is going to be here any minute."
"What!?" The words come back naturally. "No, you can't! Don't call the doctor!"
"But I've already called him. Darcy, you don't know how sick you are."
"Then send him back! You can't let him see me. You don't understand." I sit up. Strange when your really worried then everything comes back easily. I struggle my way out of the blankets, pushing Mum aside.
"Darcy! Where are you going?" She's angry now.
"Mum, I have to go." I run down the stairs, making my way for the door, ignoring her calls for me to come back.
Out the door, down the street. Then I freeze. I don't know where Sam lives. In the end I didn't end up taking her home last night.
I pull my phone out of my jacket, and pace up and down the street, waiting for her to pick up. After four rings she answers.
"Hello?"
"It's Darcy, are you alright?"
