Lily was having an enjoyable summer so far. In fact, she had never had one quite so fun. Her and Teddy had kept their trunks packed the whole summer and left them in Lily's bedroom. They would switch back and forth between their houses and both sets of parents seemed like second families to them. They were planning on meeting Harry, Ron, and Hermione at the Burrow, as Ron's house was called, for the last two weeks of their summer holidays and would get their school things with them. That would be in a week. Lily and Teddy had managed to convince their parents to allow the two of them to visit Lily's father in Azkaban Prison. They had contacted the Ministry of Magic and set up a date for them to go. That date was tomorrow. Lily was extremely excited and by default, so was Teddy.

They were spending the day in a meadow near Lily's house, (where they currently were) and had brought loads of stuff to do while they were there. Lily was sitting on a blanket they had brought with her hands tucked beneath her legs, while Teddy lay on the blanket next to her with his eyes closed. The full moon had been the night before and they were both exhausted, Teddy more so. Lily was tired too of course, but it was well hidden under her bundle of nerves for meeting her father the next day.

"Do you think he'll like me?" she asked nervously before flipping her hair and scoffing, "Of course he'll like me, everyone likes me, even Tommy." She nervously fiddled with her fingers, running them through her long black hair over and over again. She loved her hair and spent at least an hour on it every morning. She wondered if her dad had been the same way before he was sent to Azkaban. She wondered a lot of things about him, things that she would hopefully find out tomorrow.

After a lot more fidgeting, she shifted into her fox and curled up on Teddy's chest. She found sleeping a lot more comfortable in fox form, and when she wasn't sleeping in fox form, she had found she would curl up like a fox to sleep, something that Teddy found highly amusing. Soon, she drifted off to sleep under the stars, dreaming about her father.

The next morning, when Lily woke up, she found that she was still in fox form, and curled into Teddy's side. They had decided to sleep under the stars last night, and were glad they did so. It was so peaceful outside. Lily had always loved it there.

She shifted back into her human form and waved her hands, making a load of water crash onto Teddy's sleeping form. That was something else they had found out over the summer, when they didn't use their wands for magic, the Ministry couldn't track it, and they wouldn't get in trouble. Teddy bolted straight upright, and glared at Lily, who was rolling around in the grass, laughing her head off.

Teddy tackled her and started tickling her, making her laugh harder and squirm to get away. She failed to do so though, because of Teddy's werewolf strength, and Teddy forced her to promise not to wake him up that way again. Lily promised and he immediately stopped tickling her. Then she smirked, there were plenty of other ways to wake him up. She waved her hand and they were both dry. She waved it again, and their stuff was packed. Her and Teddy picked it up, linked arms, and skipped all the way back to her house.

When they arrived, they ate a quick breakfast, and excused themselves to get dressed. They decided to go matching again, and donned Navy blue jeans, their favorite long sleeved grey shirts, and black trainers. Then Lily, being her usual self, locked herself in the bathroom for an hour to do her hair. She came out, ready to go, with it in a cute half up, half down style. They used the floo network to get to the Ministry where they were brought to Azkaban.

Lily's first thought about Azkaban was, 'Wow, it's dark'. She and Teddy simultaneously cast their patronus' making their escort look at them in surprise. Not many twelve year olds could do magic that advanced. They were led down the corridor to her father's cell. When she saw him, she choked back a sob. His hair was matted, and he was covered in dirt and grime. When they stopped at his cell, his head shot up. Lily was the spitting image of him, she realized. He walked over to the bars and asked,
