Lily was doing much better, she had gotten back into the rhythm of lessons and pranking. Lockheart still had no idea it was her because she always did so well in his classes. She only did well in them because she was hoping that next year they would have a teacher who was actually capable. She was hoping to have good marks for whoever that would be, not for Lockheart. She hated him. No, she loathed him, she had used legitimacy on him and found out just how much of a fraud he was. After she found out what he actually did, she and Teddy had spent a week straight doing some of their worst pranks yet. Their detentions now stretched into their fourth year. Lily didn't really mind though, she was just glad to have done something to the git.

She had to admit that she enjoyed watching Harry make a fool of himself in front of the class when Lockgit made him act out the books. That was until the lesson when Lockgit called her up to act them out with him. She smirked, she was looking forward to putting on a show for them.

She strutted up the the front of the class. Harry was playing a werewolf and doing a horrible job of it, (Teddy would do much better,) and Lily was playing a terrified villager. Lockgit turned to her and said,

"-And then the villager let out a terrible scream - go on Lily," Lily smirked and Teddy covered his ears in preparation. Lily made herself sound terrified and screamed at the top of her lungs like she was getting murdered and everyone winced. The door banged open and Minnie and Snivellous ran in looking worried.

"What happened? We heard a scream, it sounded like someone was getting murdered." Lily smirked. Everyone turned to look at her. She put on her most innocent face and said,

"Well you see Minnie, that was me, I was simply following directions. We're acting out the book and Lockgit-sorry Professor Lockheart- said to scream like I was terrified. So I did." Lily sould have sworn Snivellous' lips twitched when she called him Lockgit, and she smiled innocently. Minnie's face looked a mix between, angry, amused, chiding, and relieved, and she said,

"Alright Miss Black, Professor Lockheart, you really shouldn't have your students scream in your lessons. We thought there was another attack." Lockgit looked flustered and Lily smirked.

On Saturday, Lily was excited to play Slytherin in quidditch. She listened to Wood as he told Harry to get the snitch or die trying. Hopefully he wouldn't die. Lily kicked off the ground and the game began, she, Katie, and Angelina worked together to score. Lily glanced up and noticed with horror that Harry was being followed by a bludger. Oh merlin, that wasn't good, she pointed it out to her fellow chasers who were equally as horrified. She tried her best to ignore it as she scored with the other chasers, but Harry was having trouble.

Wood called time out, and Harry kept trying to convince them that he was fine and didn't need to stop the game,

"Harry I know you really want to win and be brave and everything but you could die! Really Wood, 'Get the snitch or die trying,' What a stupid thing to tell him!" Wood looked rather ashamed. Lily could be quite scary when she wanted to be, and right now she wanted to be. Her grey eyes looked like lightning and there wasn't a hint of her usual smile on her face as she glared at the captain. He flinched back and apologised profusely. Lily returned to her normal happy self and chirped,

"Apology accepted, Harry try not to die." Harry nodded hurriedly and the game restarted. Gryffindor scored a bunch, and Lily was happily flying around. She loved quidditch. Suddenly she heard a crack and spun around furiously, back to being scary. Her eyes zeroed in on Harry who was now sporting a broken arm. She watched as he caught the snitch in his other hand and jumped off his broom. Lily was happy they won of course, but it was overshadowed by how angry she was about her godbrother getting hurt. She saluted Teddy and flew off on her broom to the forbidden forest so that she could get out her anger.

She flew to a part of the forest incredibly deep in, and landed. She put her broom in a protective shield, and then roared with fury, letting her anger take form in her magic. All around her, trees snapped and fell and the earth literally shook. She let her anger flow out of her, and later she was back to her usual self, the only signs of her anger, the only sign of it, the two mile radius of destruction. She waved her hand and it all went back to how it was.

Suddenly she heard the clopping of hooves, and a couple centaurs trotted into the clearing.

"Was that magic yours?" One of them asked and Lily nodded, mad at herself for getting out of control,

"I'm sorry about the forest, I knew I could repair it and I didn't want to destroy Hogwarts. Normally I'm much better at controlling my anger." The centaur nodded understandingly,

"I understand. I am Bane. You are powerful young one. What is your name?" Lily smiled at Bane weakly,

"I'm Lily Black." Bane's eyes lit up,

"Ah, that explains it. You have a complicated future Miss Black. We have all seen it written in the stars. You are quite powerful for a twelve year old." Lily crossed her arms, she despised people mentioning her age,

"I find that being twelve has absolutely no impact on my magic. I have always been able to do immensly powerful spells, spells that even some adults cannot do. My best friend is also quite powerful, but I think I am either more so than him, or it is shown in different ways." Bane nodded,

"That is true Lily. Your friend is right to call you Flame. It fits you perfectly. Do you mind if I call you that as well?" Lily smiled at him, she liked this centaur much better than the last time she had encountered centaurs.

"I don't mind at all. I must be going back to the castle though Bane. Again, I am terribly sorry about your forest." Bane bowed his head respectfully,

"Of course Flame. Good luck. I know that most creatures side with you, even the dragons. If you choose your side, then I'm sure that creatures all over will follow your example." Lily smiled again,

"Thank you Bane. Goodbye!" She grabbed her broom and spun on her heel, landing in the room of requirement.

She hurried down to the common room to find Teddy pacing and looking worried. When he looked up, he immediately hugged her and asked,

"Are you alright Flame? You looked like you could kill someone at the end of the match." Lily smiled and nodded,

"I'm fine. I technically killed around two miles of the forest, but then I fixed it. I also had a lovely chat with a couple centaurs. Apparently Flame is a good name for me. That is what the centaurs are calling me now too." Teddy smirked,

"Only you could leave ready to commit murder and come back with all the centaurs calling you a nickname." Lily laughed and jumped on his back. He easily caught her and ran around the common room with Lily grinning like a maniac on his back.
