The next day in Transfiguration, Minnie announced that exams were starting a week from today.

"Exams! We're still getting exams!" Seamus howled. Minnie repaired Neville's desk as he had accidentally vanished one of the legs at the news, and turned to Seamus frowning,

"The whole point of keeping to school open at this time is for you to receive your education. The exams will therefore take place as usual. I trust you are all studying hard." Lily was most certainly not studying hard, not that she needed to, as she remembered everything from the books she had read over the summer. Teddy wouldn't really need to study either, as if he needed help, Lily would do so through the link they had forged through communicating using Legillimancy.

Three days before the first exam, Minnie announced that the mandrakes would be ready to unpetrify the students that night, making Harry and Ron, (who she still wasn't talking to) whisper excitedly about Hermione having all the answers. Lily smiled softly at the thought of getting her second best friend back. She had really missed her. Although, she didn't know any more than what Teddy and Lily did, so she wouldn't be much use in finding the basilisk.

Later that day, Lily was sitting in History of Magic, boredly playing catch with herself, when she suddenly went rigid and the ball dropped to the floor, making Teddy look over in surprise. Lily was sitting stiff as a board staring at nothing, but the strangest part was her eyes. The gold had completely taken them over.

Lily was no longer aware of her surroundings. All she could see was poor Ginny, writing on the same wall as before with blood from a dead chicken, her eyes glazed over. Clutched in her other hand was Tom Riddle's diary. Lily immediately knew the girl was in terrible danger, this must have been what Dumbleduck had done that day. He made her able to see when someone was in danger. Terrible danger.

"Ginny," she breathed, returning to her normal state, to find Teddy looking worriedly into her eyes. She clutched his wrist as Minnie's voice rang through the halls telling everyone to go to their common rooms. She suddenly felt almost as if she was apparating, the only thing was, it was much less uncomfortable.

She, and Teddy who she had brought accidentally by gripping his wrist, reappeared in Moaning Myrtle's bathroom right next to Harry, Ron, and for some reason, Lockgit. They all whirled around to face them, and blanched at the sight of Lily's eyes which were still gold.

"What's wrong with her eyes?" Ron questioned rudely.

"It's something Dumbleduck did." Teddy said. Lily turned her golden eyes on Harry and said,

"Are you going to open it, or shall I. We have to save her." Harry gaped at her, before exclaiming,

"I knew it! I knew you were one too. Go ahead, you can do it." Lily smiled softly, and stepped toward a broken sink. In parseltongue, she hissed,

"Open." Ron and Lockgit gaped at her.

"You're a parselmouth?" Ron asked, and she decided to actually answer rather than ignoring him like she had been,

"Yes. There have been two other Blacks as well. We are distantly, very distantly related to Slytherin. That does not mean I'm the heir though, because I am most certainly not." Ron nodded weakly, and they all turned back to the, now open, entrance to the Chamber of Secrets. Lily smirked, and pushed Lockgit into the opening. He screamed as he fell through the tunnel, before they heard him exclaim about how dirty it was in there. Lily rolled her golden eyes, linked arms with Teddy, and they both jumped in after him.

The entrance to the chamber was a bit like a slide, and Lily actually thought it was rather fun. She landed at the bottom, hopped up, and brushed off her clothes before looking around. They were in some sort of black tunnel. The walls were covered in muck and slime, making her shiver in disgust. They were most likely under the lake. She moved into the shadows, looking around with interest. Suddenly, she heard Lockgit start threatening her friends, and she spun around, her golden eyes flashing. She found Lockgit pointing Ron's wand at Harry. Her eyes drifted to the wand itself. It was still broken, there was no way what he would do was going to work, plus she didn't feel the same thing she felt when someone was in horrible danger. So smirking, she watched as he tried to obliviate Harry. It didn't work, but it did cause a miner earthquake that made the ceiling collapse.

Coughing, Lily waved away the dust in front of her face, to find that she was stuck on one side of the debris with Ron, Teddy, and Lockgit, while Harry was on the other side. She, Teddy and Ron tried their best to begin shifting the rock. Lockgit was beginning to wake up, and he stared around at them.

"Oh hello. Do you live here?" he asked, sounding even more clueless than usual. Lily wrinkled her nose,

"No. You do though. You love it here, you also love snakes, and you are terrified of everything. Your name is Ima Fraud." He nodded happily,

"That's good to know. So my name is Ima Fraud?" Lily nodded, hiding her laughter, as she continued telling him stupid things. Teddy and Ron joined in too, and they were all doing their very best not to burst out laughing. Lockgit now thought so very low of himself. It was very refreshing.

Around fifteen minutes later, Lily's head snapped up, her gold eyes positively glowing. She felt the same thing she felt before, and disappeared with a swish.
