Lily reappeared in between Harry and a young version of Tom Riddle. Her still golden eyes darted down to find Ginny laying as though dead on the floor of the chamber. She dropped down and felt for a pulse, before breathing a sigh of relief. She was alive. Tommy eyed her with open curiosity,

"And who are you?" He asked, staring at her strange golden eyes. Lily stood back up and held out a hand,

"Pleasure to meet you Tommy. Although I have met your older self." Tommy cautiously shook her hand to her immense surprise. She had been wondering if he would actually be able to touch her, it appeared he could.

"Did you say what your name was?" She shook her head,

"Nope, sorry. I'm Lily. Lily Black, but my best friend calls me Flame. And you are Tom Marvolo Riddle, or more commonly known as-" Tommy cut her off by hastily covering her mouth with his hand. She just licked it, making him jump away, and stare at her in surprise.

"Did you just lick my hand?" He asked incredulously. Lily nodded solemnly,

"I believe I did. That's what happens when you put your hand over my mouth." Tommy rolled his eyes in exasperation.

"You are one strange child." Lily grinned,

"Thank you! Now then, why do you want to kill Ginny. It's completely unreasonable." She said looking at him like one would a dog who ripped up a slipper. He stared at her incredulously, wondering if she truly knew who she was talking to.

"You do know who I am, yes?" He asked the girl.

"Yes, do you want me to repeat it?" He shook his head quickly, and asked,

"What did you say your name was?"

"Lily Black." Tommy's eyebrows rose. So she was a Black. Interesting.

"Ah, a Black. Do you plan on following me?" Lily rolled her eyes,

We've already had this conversation Tommy. I don't like killing. Pranking is much better." He rolled his eyes, knowing this girl wouldn't say anything serious, and turned back to Harry who was trying to wake up Ginny.

Lily wasn't sure why she wasn't afraid of him, actually yes she was. She wasn't afraid of him because she had other things to be afraid of. She was terrified of Dadfoot dying. She loved him, and even with him in Azkaban, he was still alive at the very least. She had already lost too much family. Way too much.

Tommy absently flicked Harry's wand at Lily, causing her to be wrapped in ropes at his feet. Lily huffed,

"What is it with you and tying me up?" Tommy looked down at her in amusement.

"Perhaps its because you have such lovely commentary." Lily grinned,

"You made another joke!" Tommy laughed lightly. He was rather fond of this strange girl, whose eyes were slowly fading back to grey.

"When did I make the first one?" He asked, eyes twinkling with amusement.

"Last year," she answered promptly, "The last time you tried to kill Harry." Tommy's eyebrows rose,

"You were there too?" She nodded,

"Yep." He studied her curiously,

"How exactly did you get here? And why were your eyes gold?" Lily shrugged,

"Dumbleduck did something." He rolled his eyes, of course she would call Albus Dumbledore by a silly nickname, heck, she called him by a nickname.

"Alright, now shush, I need to have a chat with your friend here." Lily rolled her eyes, but managed to push herself into sitting position despite being tied up, and leaned against Tommy's legs humming to herself as he told Harry about what he did to Ginny. She did her best to ignore what he was saying, otherwise the whole chamber would most likely blow up, and then they would all be dead, which was completely unnecessary.

She looked up when she saw Tommy finally show Harry who he really was.

"Honestly Harry, if you had just told me about the stupid diary rather than having secret conversations with Ron and Hermione, I could have just told you who he was. Why do you think I called him Tommy last year?" She said in exasperation. Harry looked down at her incredulously,

"How on earth did you figure out who he was last year?" Tommy looked down at her interestedly too,

"Good question." Lily looked down sheepishly.

"Well, I was in the library one day-" Harry cut her off,

"You were in the library?" Lily rolled her eyes,

"Yes, I do go there occasionally, though generally not by choice. Anyway, I was bored so I was going through the old yearbooks and rearranging the letters in the names to make funny words, and I accidentally found Tommy's and there was no way that was a coincidence." Harry and Tommy both gaped at her.

"You found out who I was by accident?" Tommy asked incredulously. She nodded,

"Yep. Anyway, are you guys almost done? I hungry." Tommy laughed,

"Almost, I believe." Lily nodded happily,

"Good, hurry up." Then she leaned back on Tommy's legs again. She must have zoned out, because the next thing she knew, Fawkes was sitting on Harry's shoulder while he clutched the sorting hat. Lily smiled reminiscently, remembering how she had threatened to set that same hat on fire at her sorting if it didn't put her in Gryffindor. Tommy abruptly picked her up, making her shriek in surprise.

"What was that for?"

"Well you're tied up, and we're going over her now, so you don't die." She nodded,

"That makes sense. Why would I die if I were over there?"

"Because I'm calling the basilisk now." Lily's eyes widened in excitement,

"Ooh! Can I meet it?" Tommy looked at her incredulously,

"You want to meet the basilisk?" He asked slowly. She nodded her head excitedly, as he set her back down. She blinked and the ropes around her disappeared. She jumped to her feet and pouted at him hopefully. He sighed in defeat,

"Fine, you can meet it." Lily squealed excitedly and hugged him, taking him by surprise. He actually did give her a hug back though, before turning to the statue of Salazar Slytherin and hissing,

"Speak to me Slytherin, greatest of the Hogwarts Four." Lily watched as the statues mouth opened, and a huge snake came slithering out. She made sure not to look into it's eyes as it came over to her. Lily grinned and reached out a hand to pet it's huge head.

"Oh, you're a cutie, aren't you?" She cooed in parseltongue, making Tommy wheel around to stare at her in surprise,

"You're a parselmouth? Lily rolled her eyes,

"I think me speaking to a snake would make that obvious. I am very, very distantly related to Slytherin." Tommy blinked.

"Huh." Then he turned back to Harry and the basilisk, and began hissing directions at it. Lily moved forward to help Harry, but Tommy caught her wrist and stared at her apologetically,

"Sorry about this, but I can't have you helping him." He flicked Harry's wand, and Lily felt herself getting very tired. She collapsed in heap, and Tommy caught her, lowering her to the ground next to Ginny. The last thing she saw, was him looking at her with pity.
