It seemed as though nobody smiled anymore. Even Lily and Teddy had taken down their attempts at making people smile with their pranks, because every time they tried, they would only get into loads of trouble. Way more so than usual.

Nothing had really happened with whatever spell Dumbleduck had put on Lily, but a few people had commented on the gold ringing her eyes. She had also found that the necklace didn't come off when she had tried. Everyone was in foul moods, that is, everyone except for Lily's dear cousin Dracula. He was much too pleased with Dumbleduck's absence and had began to tell Snivellous how his father would vote for him to become the new headmaster. Snivellous at least, had said Dumbleduck would be back soon, but it was obvious he was at least slightly pleased, making Lily and Teddy dislike him even more.

As summer crept over the school, Lockgit grew happier and happier. He was certain there would be no more attacks now that Hagrid was in Azkaban. Lily wholeheartedly disagreed, and she felt awful for Hagrid. She and Teddy had gone to visit her father in Azkaban the summer before, and it was absolutely horrible.

She was also incredibly confused as to why the basilisk had paused it's attacks. It made her suspicious that the heir was planning something big, and she wasn't looking forward to whatever it was.

One day in Herbology, Lily and Teddy were working with Harry and Ron, along with Ernie and Hannah from Hufflepuff. Lily smirked as Harry said the heir wasn't Dracula so firmly that the Hufflepuffs stared. A moment later, Harry's eyes widened and he hit Ron over the back of the hand with pruning shears.

"Ouch-What're you-" Harry was watching the spiders, along with Lily and Teddy who were very interested in joining Harry and Ron when they followed them. Lily watched with narrowed eyes as the spiders scuttled away. There was no doubt in where they were going. They were headed straight for the forbidden forest. Lily grinned and turned to Teddy who also looked like a kid in a candy store. They both loved the forest and had spent more than a few of their days there. Ron looked much less pleased at that, as he had never been in there before.

As they took their seats in Lockgit's class, Ron nervously asked,

"Er-aren't there-aren't there supposed to be werewolves in the forest?" Lily and Teddy both fell out of their seats in laughter at that. Werewolves! Merlin, were they all that thick? It wasn't even a full moon, and she sincerely doubted that they enjoyed living in the forest. They were real people after all, why would they live in the forest? Harry and Ron were staring at them like they were crazy,

"What's so funny about werewolves?" Ron asked incredulously. Lily smirked,

"It's not even a full moon, you numbskull! Plus, why would they live in the forest, they're normal people who happen to turn furry monthly, not savages." Harry and Ron stared at her with their jaws dropped.

"But-but their werewolves!" Ron said incredulously. Lily's face turned terrifying as she glared at him.

"They may be werewolves, but that does not make them any less human than either of us!" She said, her voice deadly.

"That's exactly what it means!" Ron exclaimed. Lily's magic was thrashing around inside of her, begging to be set free. If looks could kill, Ron would certainly be six feet under. Yet, he didn't seem to be changing his mind. The torches around the classroom shattered, and Teddy grabbed Lily's wrist, bringing her back to the present. She blinked and looked around to see the shattered glass everywhere, and Ron looking rather terrified. Harry and the rest of the class just looked confused, as they hadn't seen Ron and Lily's argument.

"They are people just like you and me. I wouldn't suggest saying anything otherwise ever again." Ron nodded quickly, and Lily leaned back in her seat, not forgiving him any time soon. That was one of the things that would set her off, and being on the other end of her anger is not a place anyone wanted to be.
