Chapter 9

Y/n POV~

The streets were dark but not pitch black it seemed almost calming. The light posts light up the sidewalks and the things around it. It was about a 15 minute walk in silence with Bokuto, it wasn't awkward or anything it was peaceful and I enjoyed the quietness only hearing the wind blow on the trees. We ended up in a small festival at a park with lanterns, games and rides. I didnt like being around this many people made me uncomfortable

I want to go home...everyone hates me I want to leave. Please. I want to lea-

"Do you want to go play the ring toss with me" Bokuto asked snapping me out of my thoughts. He pointed to a ring toss and before I said anything he grabbed my wrist and pulled me over to the booth. He gave the man cash so he could play
"Do you see something you like? I could win something for you?" he asked. I chuckled a bit and gave the man the same amount of cash, he handed me 5 rings and if I got all 5 id win a big stuff animal.
"Lets make this a game. Lets see who gets the most rings on the bottles" I smirked with a look saying im-going-to-beat-you.
"Your on y/n!"
We started to get competitive once we each got 4 rings on bottles. We didnt discuss if we tied but then he missed and I saw my ring barely make it to a bottle
"THATS HOW ITS DONE!"
"Ack! Cant believe I lost but it was a fair game" he gave me his hand to shake and admit his defeat
"Miss what prize would you like?"
"Oh umm can I get that stuffed owl!" I pointed at the stuffed animal and in the corner of my eye I saw him with a light blush.
"What about you sir, you can get something out of the same section as she did"
"Can I get the other owl thats next to the one she got" The worker walked over to get our prizes "Why didn't you get a big stuffed animal" he asked.
I looked into into his golden orbs and had a slight smile on my face. "Because they are my favorite animal well next to dogs, but look were matching now"
"Yeah we are because we are amazing!" We claimed our prizes and ate at the booths that served different foods. I couldn't help but smile lightly, I havent felt this way in 2 years maybe my brother did this on purpose but I should thank him anyways for doing so.

I feel happy and I want to feel this way all the time

"You should smile more you look cuter with it than always mad" He said stuffing a pork bun in his mouth
"Whattt pssh whatever" I punched his arm with a giggle.
The "date" went fine with the owl, we went on rides, talked about volleyball and our intrest. Then came the time to head back to the school we were at for training camp. We talked some more and he shared his stories about all the other schools and I actually wanted to meet them. I havent felt this way since the incident...We arrived to the school and started to head inside. I gave him a gentle smile and said goodbye but I felt a hand grab my wrist
"Is something wrong Bokuto-san?" He pulled me in close to him and tried to place a kiss on my lips but I couldnt it felt wrong. He kissed my hands i placed in front of my face, I pulled away and took a step back
"Im sorry Bokuto i just see you as a friend, I have feelings for someone else..." I watched his eyes look at the floor
"Ca-can we still be friends or bestfriends?" he looked up
"ofc Bokuto-san, if it makes you feel better i actually havent felt this happy in a long time. Im happy I joined the volleyball club and met all these unique people. Im happy you actually got me to smile. Thank you" Tears started to form in my eyes
"Im glad but dont cry please"
"Their tears of joy" I gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek saying thank you again before walking to my designated room. I looked back and saw he skip to his room.

After Bokuto and y/n leave....

"No way..." Kenma says looking at his phone with a slight excited face
"Oi what is it?"
"Remember the band 'The Terrible Hounds' (ik i suck at band names ahhhh but feel free to make it whatever you please) I used to talk about?"
"yeah you used to talk about them a bit, what about it?"
"SHES THE SINGER!"
"No way gimme that" I snatched kenmas phone and saw no one other than you in a very odd outfit. "Why does she have a muzzle on?!" I asked in a confused
"Because their band is around dogs, they raise money for people to stop harming dogs in kennels and help those who are abused. They were muzzles, leashes and collars as a way to protest what happens to dogs along with dog catcher nets, its pretty cool actually they helped a lot of kennels that abused dogs" Kenma explained and showed articles about you saving many dogs lives. He didnt know you were this amazing. After researching a bit more we found out that you were a volleyball player an ace too but we felt to ask you that in person when we had the chance. We grew tired and headed to our rooms to get ready for bed.

Bokuto and y/ns return...

Kyotani POV~

"UGH" I exclaimed as i got up out of bed upset how i couldnt sleep at all. I walked to the bathroom and looked into the mirror and splash my fave with water. I went to open the door and around the corner i heard low voices talking. I looked over the corner and saw Bokuto trying to kiss y/n. I clenched my fist and wanted to beat his ass right then and there but then she said..."Im sorry Bokuto i just see you as a friend, I have feelings for someone else..."
Hearing those words come from her mouth hurt me. I dont know what but I was upset...could it be because i want it to be me. She went out on a date with another boy why not me? I ended up falling asleep but I didnt want to think about who she liked but I wish it was me....

I felt the warm sun shine on my face, I sat uo and saw everyone left the room. I got up and when I opened the door I saw y/n coming out of the bathroom.
"Goodmorning Kyotani" she said with a smile. I scoffed and walked right past her not looking back.

Y/n POV~

I walked out of the bathroom and saw Kyo walking out of his room. "Goodmorning Kyotani" I sang with a smile. I watched him scoff and walk right past me not looking at me.

Did I do something wrong?

I felt i couldve done a little bit better on this chapter but eh
