I saw Hiccup on his knees and and felt my curiosity get the better of me. Was it because I said I love you? Walking away from Toothless, I made my way towards him.

"Hey Hiccup, like I said, you are si-" the closer I got to him, I felt darkness radiate off of him and I gripped my staff tighter.

"Seems like I should have told you." Hiccup said lower than I could hear.

"Should have told me what?" I repeated the last of what I could hear.

His shoulder repositioned as he stood up slowly, but didn't raise his head.

"You know your confrontation that night about despair and darkness?" He asked.

"Yeah, why?" I asked.

"You remember telling me how I didn't know the feeling? Then you left me on the Porch?" He asked.

I thought back and immediately felt guilty. "What does this have to do with anything? Is it because I said I love you?" I asked.

I saw his shoulder tense. "Yes... Because that night..." He paused and sucked in a deep breath of air. "Pitch showed up after you left."

I couldn't move. My whole body was frozen and my mind raced. Knowing Pitch was at the North Palace absolutely raged me.

After a minute or so, I sighed. "What happened? Did you guys just talk and he threatened me?" I asked hoping for it.

His lips frowned. "He did more than that." He said quietly. He slowly glanced up at me revealing blood red eyes. "He wanted me to crush your everything." Hiccup said.

My heart dropped. I let my staff hit the floor and gripped his shoulders, feeling my eyes fill up with water.

"Hiccup, please tell me your not his new puppet." I begged.

"He was gonna take you, Jack." He said.

I felt my tears spilling out of my eyes and my heart sunk. It felt like someone ran a razor down the inside of my heart.

"Why Hiccup?!" I sobbed. "Why didnt you just let him take me?!" I shouted.

Hiccup looked at me and smiled. "I'm so sorry Jack. I should've told you sooner." He said. "His plan is to use me against you guys and I can't do anything about it." He said.

I felt my eyes close and gripped his shoulders harder looking down at my feet. "Don't go!" I shouted. "Don't do this!"

I felt Hiccups hand on my shoulder. "I love you too, Jack." My tears stopped instantly and I looked up at him. His smile was so warming and nice. I felt his shoulders shiver and knitted my eyebrows.

A blow to my stomach made me gag. My hands slipped off his shoulder and I landed on the ground in a fetal position. I looked up at him and saw that smile I knew to well.

"Sorry, Jackie." His voice was the same sinister voice of familiarity. "I had to cut that heartwarming conversation short." Hiccup said squaring down to my face. "My master needs me." Hiccup got up, grabbing the bag of globes and pulled out one. "Seems like the last time we met, you were about to die." He said.

I clenched my teeth. "Jack Nightmare?" I asked.

He smiled. "Spot on, Jackie!" He shouted.

"Of course it was me, only, I'm in a different meat suit." He said.

I coughed. "Meat suit?" I asked. "So this isn't Hiccup talking?" I asked.

"No, but if anything happens to me, Hiccup gets caught in the crossfire." Nightmare said.

"How are you even here?" I asked.

"Pitch found some of my sand mixed in with the ice from the lake. So he used that little bit and put it in Hiccup." He said, opening his arms. "So voila, here I am." He said. I saw Hiccups face look so sinister it made me sad.

"What do you plan on doing?" I asked.

He smiled. "Who knows, but wearing the face of the one you love, is so priceless. I mean you knowing that hurting this meat suit will hurt you even more." He whispered into the globe and Pitch's lair showed up. "Nice seeing you, Jack." He said before throwing the globe and stepping into it.

I heard a sad howl from Toothless and it made me look back at him, my tears flowing like a river. The first person I start to love in 303 years and he is taken from me. How else can life hurt me.
