Sotam-Heroes or Villians? (Part 1)

A/N: Hello! I decided to write another Sotam oneshot because why not?

This is going to be a human ish AU.

Imagine that Sophie was found by the Neverseen first.

Tam and Linh were still taken in by the Black Swan.

They met at Foxfire High School, (even the Neverseen have to go to school, for nefarious purposes) had a mutual friend, Dex, who was dating Linh, and the Vackers were throwing a big party, and everyone was invited.

The Neverseen were going to crash it, but they needed an inside man, or woman.

Sophie was perfect.

She got an invite, and they hooked a camera and audio up to her.

Good.

So you get the brainwashing part a little easier, they've been telling Sophie that the City Council of Lost Paradise (Eternalia, but the human name, Shangri-la, AKA paradise, and the Lost Cities, hence the name) was really corrupt and hiding all of the bad things they were doing from the public, and it was up to Sophie and the Neverseen to bring it to the light.

The Neverseen were good at hiding the fact that they were doing some shady things from Sophie, and Sophie truly didn't know any better.

She thought that they had saved her from someone who had kidnapped her and killed her family in a fire, and they were the only family she had left.

Sophie is about to get her first hint that all is not what it seems to be in the city of Lost Paradise.

Third person POV unless otherwise told.

"Dex!"

"Hi Sophie! I didn't know you went to Foxfire High!"

"Yeah, I just transferred here from Exillium Charter."

"Hey, that's great! Let me show you around!"

"Alright, thanks!"

Seeing as they had most of their classes together, except for a few electives, Dex and Sophie spent the day together up until lunch.

"C-can I sit with you for lunch Dex, until I find my own group?"

"Of course Sophie! And you don't have to leave if you don't want to."

"My friends are pretty okay. I think you'll like them. But, it's a very mixed bunch."

"Oh, okay! I'm looking forward to meeting them!"

"Let's see. There's Fitz and Keefe, best friends and the most popular guys in school. Fitz's younger sister, Biana is the fashion queen. She even gave me a makeover."

Hearing this, Sophie giggled.

"We have a set of twins, Tam and Linh, as opposite as can be."

"Aren't you dating one of them?"

"Yeah, Linh. She's really amazing."

"I'll bet. What about Tam?"

Dex hesitated.

"He's...... Something else. Tam is almost the exact opposite of Linh, with an air of bad boy vibes and emo-ness in contrast to Linh."

"They have matching black hair with silver at the ends though.'

"Marella and Wylie sometimes join us, but not often."

"Oh, and stay away from Stina. Resident mean girl. She has a thing out for new students and Biana. They've always been at odds. When Biana became friends with Linh, her former best friend Maruca sided with Stina, and things have been tense ever since."
