Gilbert's POV
I smiled down at my food remembering the first time she came here to have breakfast with us.
After that day it became a regular occurrence for her to be here with me in the mornings.
I smiled thinking how natural it felt for me to just be there with her and hold her as she just spoke and laughed.
Today's the day I'm finally gonna take her on that date.
"Oh God look at him, he's got the love struck puppy look" bobby said.
"I see it too" Tucker said.
I looked up at them trying hide the small smile on my face.
"Your in love man" tucker said.
Bobby nodded "don't screw it up".
I glared at him "what's that supposed to mean?"
Tucker sighed "you know exactly what that means"
I looked between the both of them. Bobby, sensing I was clueless, nodded his head to the back of the café where Betty, her husband, and her kids were having breakfast.
I shake my head "no way, no way would I let Betty come between me and Blair".
"Well have you broken your little affair with her off?" Tucker asked.
I ran a hand through my hair slightly frustrated "no, no I haven't".
"Gilbert, man, what the hell are you waiting for?" Bobby asked.
"Well nothing really, I mean I haven't delivered anything to her so I have absolutely no reason to see her" I replied honestly.
"And what'll you do when you do need to deliver something to her?" Tucker asked.
"Nothing, deliver it, that's all, I love Blair and I'm serious about her, I'm not gonna let Betty ruin that" I replied.
I'm not losing Blair.
I'd honestly rather die.
Bobby sighs and asked "don't hurt her, she's a nice girl, really good for you".
Tucker nodded with a small smile "yeah I've honestly never seen you this relaxed, this...happy".
I smiled slightly thinking about Blair and how she's made me feel these past few days.
Honestly, these past few months.
"Hi boys" Betty says walking by.
"Hi,ms carver"
"Hello ms carver"
"Hi" I reply politely.
She left the shop as her husband came up to me.
"Gilbert, I'm waiting for your call" he tells me putting his hand on my shoulder firmly.
I nod with a awkward smile.
"Mr Carver, I haven't seen your mother in church lately, how's she doing?" Bobby asked, probably hoping that she wasn't doing well so he'd finally be able to do his job at the morgue.
"She's fine" mr carver say before walking out.
"Thanks, bye" he says to him sarcastically.
"You know he wants to kill you right?" Tucker told me.
I sighed.
