My name is Roxanne, 17 and like any new kid, I was shy. How couldn't I be? I was new to the school which its high school. Yeah highschool! Especially my senior year. No I didn't move because my dad got a job offer or another cliché reason. We moved because we couldn't afford the shitty place we lived in already. My family isn't rich. Wouldn't even be considered middle class. We lived in a shitty town and moved to the next shitty town five minutes away. In apartments that saw shootings and kids selling drugs. I swear I was done moving from place to place. My parents promised it would be the last time. But how could I believe them? I've changed friends so many times.

I got up to see that I was already running late. No I'm not one of the lucky girls that wear little makeup. I had to wear it or look like a mess. So here I went to school looking like I woke up from the dead with semi makeup on. My mom dropped me off a block away because, well because I was nervous and needed the walk. My mom looked at me before unlocking the door to let me out, "Are you sure you don't want me to leave you at the front?"
"No. Lets just go back home. Ill help unpack the rest! I'm so nervous!" I said.

Then she unlocked the doors with a look on her face. I took a deep breath and got out.

I was a nervous wreck. I was sweating. I got to school when I saw an old elementary friend, Genesis.

"Oh my gosh Roxanne! You go here now?"
"Yeah moved again. Where's class 406?" I asked
"Right over there." She said pointing near the stairs. "Well I'll see you at break?" I said. "Yeah okay bye!"

As I was walking to class I noticed a lot of people from my elementary walking to their classes. I was surprised. Maybe this year won't be as lonely as I thought. When I got to class, that's when my anxiety hit. I knew no one.

"Class, sit where you wanna sit for the rest of the year" The teacher told us.

I knew no one so I went to any seat. And of course , no one sits next to me. I was such a loner for those 90 minutes. The bell rings and I slowly walk out. I had no desire to go out and find someone to possibly hang out with. I spotted Genesis before I looked like a complete loser.

"Hey dude. Guys remember Roxanne?" She asked her friends. "Yeah you look way different though!"

After three years why wouldn't I have changed? I went from brown to red hair. I always had such a love for red hair. I thought if I changed my hair color then my life would change for the better but I'm still so boring. Me, Genesis and her friends were hanging out in front of the basketball court when I noticed probably the most attractive guy I've seen at school. My friends words blacked out and all I saw was him. I felt like I got ran over by a truck of mixed emotions. "Hey you okay weirdo?" Amy, one of Genesis' friends asked. "Uhh yeah. Um who's that over there?" I asked them.

"Who exactly? There's a lot of people over there Roxanne" Genesis said with an obvious tone. "The one in the red. He's playing with the guys over there!" I said while jokingly pushing her. "Oh no no no Roxanne. His name is Jack Gilinsky. You don't want to be a part of his life. He's hot but he's a jerk to girls like us. Plus he dates a girl every two months!" She said.

At that point I didn't care what she had to say. All I knew was he made me feel a ceratin way and I wanted to get to know him.
