"I knew this was Marina's house and I had to pee. It's hard to find a decent gas station the isn't crawling with people who want to eat your brains." Leo said, making weird faces and waving his hands around his head. "So what's the deal with you and Marina anyway? If you're twins, you should both be half bloods. Why haven't I seen you at Camp?

"Its not that simple." I groaned.

"Is anything we half bloods do, simple?" Leo retorted.

"Fair enough. When I was born, my mother couldn't remember who our father was. She has a serious case of memory loss. Growing up was hard because my sister was the favorite. Mostly because my mom could only remember the good things about Marina." I took a deep breath and continued. "Not me, though. My mom forgets we're twins and treats me as the older sibling, which means I get blamed for everything. Anyway, on our twelfth birthday, a woman claiming to be social services came to the door and demanded Marina be taken away. But I guess no one knew we were twins because they never came back for me."

Leo cut me off. "What about your mom? Doesn't she remember she has another daughter?"

"Thats the fun part. I convince my mom each time that I have a friend who, on occasion, needs a place to stay. Thats when Marina comes to visit for a day or two each month. Just to check up on me." I folded my hands in my lap, gesturing that I was done my spiel.

"Did you ever get Claimed though?" Leo asked. "Marina was claimed like, the second she walked into camp for the first time."

"Nope. Whats worse is Marina never told me who our father was because she said it might attract bad things." I rolled my eyes.

"Actually?!" Shouted Leo. "You never even went to camp to find out?"

"I can't, the Gate would never let me in."

"Have you ever tried?"
