Book 1: The Voice and The Hammer (PJO fanfic)

Leo XI

I felt horrible! It's not like I tried to make Jason fall out of the tree!

I decided I needed a break from civilization, plus I thought since Jason has his coin/sword, Piper had Katoptris, and I had my hammer and took belt, Finn needed a weapon too. I got to my workbench, ready with paper and a pencil.

I wanted it to be beautiful and go with everything, I got the idea from Grover's pipe and wanted her to be able to use her music to her advantage. I designed it so that the pipe would also become a bow. I heard Apollo kids are good at archery, (Her sister sure is). Lastly I slid in silver chain through a small loop at the top of the pipe so that it would go around her neck.

I was just putting her initials on the side when I heard someone knock at the cabin door. I put my tools down and slid the pipe into my shirt pocket and opened the door. Jason was in a wheelchair with Piper pushing it. Oh the joys of a relationship.

They told me they were looking for Finn! It was a perfect opportunity to give her the pipe.

We made our way to the forest thinking she might be there poking around. When we found her she was with Percy! Piper and I ran to see her, I wanted to give it to her but not with all these people around. I hoped we would be somewhere... less populated.

When we approached Finn she looked excited.

"Guys guess what! I have a power!" Finn cried. "Wait, why is Jason over there in a wheelchair?" Finn ran to him before we could ask her anything and called us over. Finn knelt down beside him and put her hand on his legs. "Piper you're hurt too, come here." Piper came and sat by Finn as she put her hand on Piper's cut.

Finn begin to mutter. "Therapéfsi paralaló na therapéfsi." She took her hands off ofJason and Piper. Piper stared at her shoulder in awe and Finn helped Jason out of his wheelchair.

"You do have powers!" I ran over to Finn and hugged her. We all gathered around then and hugged her.

"So, I kinda said I would meet Addy at the archery range... so I have to go!" Percy smiled and waived, then disappeared back into the trees.

We walked back toward the cabins and sat by the water fountain.

"So you can heal, like... by praying or something?" I asked Finn. "Well I think so. I don't actually know what I'm saying, but it works!" Our eyes met and I grinned. She quickly turned away putting a piece of her flaming hair behind her ear.

Just then Rachel Dare came walking toward us. Her eyes were unfocused as she stood before us and spoke.

"Leo Valdez, your next mission awaits you. To Vancouver you must go. A deadly weapon awaits you there, in the darkness it will glow."

She blinked a few times, then fainted.
