A few moments later, Marina whipped the curtain of the infirmary open and rushed to my side. Her hair was up in a knot and she had her pyjamas on but she still looked like a million bucks. I stood up to hug her. I never wanted to let go.

"I came as soon as I heard." She pushed me away. "Why are you here?"

"Its a really long story, get Leo to tell you tomorrow. For now, can we just sleep? I feel likeive been awake for weeks."

Marina nodded and pushed the bed next to me up to mine. It was just like when we were kids. "It's been a while." I said before falling asleep with my sister beside me.

We ate breakfast that morning outside the infirmary. The camp, it was, beautiful. There were trees everywhere and the sky was bright blue, with the sunlight reflecting off of the morning fog. I told Marina all about how Leo broke into our house, the weird fox thing  that appeared in the forest, and how astonished I was that I was able to get though the camp gate.

Marina looked down at the ground and stared.

"What's going on? You okay?" I asked, turning myself to face her more.

"Finn, the gate was never closed to you." Marina stated, still looking at the ground.

"Come again?"

Marina paused. "I never told you who our dad was for the same reason. It wasn't safe for you."

I looked down as well. "How was that meant to help me? I mean, isn't it safe here for you?"

"I was claimed, Finn. The danger already knew who I was. But after that, you remained anonymous." Marina sighed. "But not anymore. You've been here already. You can't go back home."

For some reason, I felt no distress over the fact I couldn't go home. Aside from the remorse I felt for leaving my delusional mother at home, I was glad.

The two of us sat in silence for a while.

"Finn, do you want to know who our dad is?"

"My cabin?" I asked excitedly, forgetting the woes of the previous conversation.

"Cabin number seven," Marina said. "Finn, welcome to the Apollo Cabin."

I had nothing to say. Talk about a brain overload. We approached a cabin of glittering gold. Inside were beds belonging to other kids just like me.

"This one here is yours." Marina said, pointing to an bunk along the wall with a small trunk on top of the mattress.

"If you need anything I'm over there." She pointed to the bed on the other side of the room.

I opened the bag to find many of my personal belongings as well as some clothes and bedsheets. I looked over at Marina and she winked.

After changing into more suitable clothing for the day, I set out on my adventure.

My first day at home.
