They had everything here! Why couldn't camp be in Vancouver? Jason and I decided to take advantage of Piper's thoughtfulness and go to the hotel gym.

"Well, I'm going to go to the hippy lookin' corner store outside. What are you going to do?" Piper said walking with the four of us to the lobby.

Finn said with a dreamy, excited voice: "You said the hotel had pianos?"

"Right, gimme a sec." Piper went to talk to a rather official looking man in the hallway. All we heard were muffled sounds as she looked over at us. She came back toward us.

"Alright boys, we'll see you here in an hour. Exactly an hour! I'll meet you back here when I'm done. And Finn, that lovely man over there said you could use the showroom piano across from the gym!"

Piper lit up with the thought of being alone for a whole hour as she pointed to the security guard she had been talking too.

"How did you do that?" Finn asked delightedly.

"She charm spoke." I mouthed to Finn.

"Dope" Finn said grabbing a handful of candy from the bowl on the counter behind us. Jason, Percy, and I walked to the gym. We got on different equipment as we spoke.

"When do you suppose this prophecy is going to reveal itself?" Jason said.

"I don't know, but I'm hoping it does soon... I miss home." replied Percy. There was a long pause filled by exhaustion and sweat.

"So... you and Finley!" Jason wiggled his eyebrows at me and Percy tried really hard not to laugh.

"Really?" I sighed.

Jason teased, "Finley Valdez, I like the sound of that!" He giggled like a girl. I was so ready to punch that grin off his face.

"Why don't you just tell her."

"I don't know..."

"Come on! What are you afraid of?" Jason teased persistently. "What is it?"

"Jason." I pleaded.

"Come on!" Percy joined in.

"Jason please!" I shouted.

"Leo!" yelled Jason.

I don't want to want to put her in danger!"

Jason almost dropped the weight he had in his left hand.

"I- I don't want to hurt her."

No one said a word. I was hurt, they should have understood me better than anyone.

"I'm sorry, I need to go and... cool off." I grabbed a towel and left Jason and Percy alone in the gym.

I walked down the hallway trying to distract myself as I passed the showroom. There was a small light on Finn who was accompanying herself on stage. My arms began to fall to their sides. The fire left my chest and was carried off by the sound of the grand piano playing an elegant melody while Finn sang along. Purely enticing, enthralling, entrancing.

Oh my gods.
